I think we should have spent more time in act 1 not just to get more Jackie time but more time in NC as a whole. I would imagine a slow burn of V feeling like a GTA protagonist and then having the Konpeki rug pull when they feel most capable of themselves would make the gut punch of Jackie and V's death and the latter's subsequent rebirth/race against time hit so much harder.

@@clarencewalters338 true, tho u can spen hours and do a good few missions and sidequests even before doing The Heist mission.. i took my time and played a good bit, got a good few NCPD missions done and cruised the city... my only wish had been to have Jackie with us for that first part, as sort of a Companion... tho thinking about it as i write it, that had made it all the harder to lose him, already had me cry like a baby that got its bottle taken away mid feeding ='(

In my opinion I think it’s the best game ever made .. if another game just did 1 thing as well as cyberpunk ir would be considered great, but cyberpunk does multiple things extremely well.. story gameplay lore environment open world all of it is absolutely top tier .. I don’t think I’ve ever played a game that’s able to do all those things ro rhe quality cyberpunk does them.. usually a game will do 1 or 2 things well at the expense of others, but not cyberpunk, it does everything at an extremely high quality level while sacrificing almost nothing .. it is everything everyone expected it to be, revolutionary and pushes the medium forward in several different ways .. I just can’t sing its praises enough.. I have 1300 hours in it, I’ve basically platinumed it twice on ps4 and PS5, and I will still come back to it every once in a while

@ 100% I would also argue that cyberpunk was super ahead of its time, it’s 4 years later and I think it still holds up graphically too anything coming out now and I don’t see that changing for a few more years. I fell in love with this world and this game helped me through one of the toughest periods of my life and for that it will always hold a special place in my heart.

It could be. Shortcuts were taken, and systems were (clearly) abandoned (like the traffic light system), but for me, it is the most professional game I've played to date. I haven't played Baldur's Gate 3, so I can't be certain.

i think the launch failure made cyberpunk a better game. they made sure to put everything into 2.0 ad phantom liberty and they made the game 10x better. the content the game had at launch was great but now its improved and has a huge fun expansion

1:58 Just a little FYI, that NPC falling is not a bug but an actual scripted encounter where I guess some corpo offed themselves or maybe someone killed them. It was obvious because you can hear the NPC screaming before hitting the ground, NPCs in the game doesn't have anything in their code that could detect that they are falling that would trigger a scream, so it was obvious that this one is a scripted event.

I played Cyberpunk day one on PC, my friends who got it were on console or PC and bugs and crashes were pretty bad for all of us. Understandably people were very pissed and it's good that CDPR stuck with it, they definitely needed to. Even through all of the bugs, I still fell in love with it, it's awesome. Also glad that Johnny wasn't just purely a cameo role for Keanu Reeves and that he was integral to the story.

A note on Saburo being the mightiest man alive: probably not. Militech might lag behind in terms of covert ops, specialized implants and neuro tech, but in terms of sheer might, Militech far overpowers Arasaka. It is implied in one of the endings that Militech essentially take control of NC and certain gigs added in the last updates hint at escalation between Arasaka and Militech. A corpo war is brewing and is likely to be the setting for Cyberpunk Orion, the next game project name

I have loved Cyberpunk since launch. Yeah it had problems but I was still obsessed. Going into clouds for the first time, Jackies funeral, sitting around the fire with Panem and the Aldecaldos, going diving with Judy, playing an AR game with River, sitting and talking to Johnny in the oil fields. Everything is just so believable, emotional, and just overall amazing. Night city is gritty, alive and just so awesome to look at. The characters, main and even random side characters, are written so well. I can go on and on about how much I love this game so instead of saying that over and over I just watch other people love it instead haha.

Cyberpunk 2077 is promise, disaster, constant updates and upgrades, and an epic expansion. It's the story of promise delayed and fulfilled, an epic soundtrack, some of the best voice casting ever, and two stars who went all in with their characters and gave epic performances. They used to ask about a gaming rig, "Can it run Crysis?" Now, it's "Can it run Cyberpunk?" That's the level of graphics and immersion there is in the game. I keep playing the game, finishing it, and going back. You can mod the game, change it to suit your desires. You learn something new about the world every time. And Phantom Liberty? It's what you expect, and nothing like what you expect

I'd recommend cutting 90% of the explanation of what goes on in the story, if not more, and focus more on the point you want to make. Two types of people will would watch this video, and by far the biggest slice of that pie is people who've already played the game (and loved it) like me. I know what the story is, I am just as tired of the intro as you are, so why drag it out piece by piece? It's a bit ironic that your own explanation of the intro has the same problem as you point out in the video, namely being too long. You should go more into depth on why it's bad that it's too long and how that worsens an experience, not why it is long, if that makes sense. This is a problem throughout the video for me, it seems you don't really explore any topic into depth, despite having plenty of time for it. Sorry for the rant, I still watched it all so it was a quality vid :)

Yeah that was a bit overdramatic, a decent PC could run the game OK, with just a few bugs to really piss one off and many things getting fixed and improved up to 1.61. But old gen consoles...yeah thats a completely different story, that should've never happend in the first place, it shoul have been, like they decided with Phantom Liberty, NEXT GEN Consoles ONLY.

Man, what I love most of this game is the replay value, taking different routes reveals more about the previous route, like SPOILERS AHEAD, knowing the reason Yorunobu to hate his father so much is that he knows his father wants to implant a relic and overwrite his Ingram, as is happening to V with Johnny. And that if you betray Song you get to know more about her history and more about the AIs behind the wall.

what really made me love this game after trying and quitting about 6 different times is that i finally let go of the expectation of the rpg that they pitched to us. it’s not as deep of a choice system as i would’ve hoped but i’ve come to accept it and the dlc kinda retroactively fixes that issue. it’s an action game more than an rpg, but still a damn good one with one of the most dense city structures that seeps with thick atmosphere. if anything im happy with this game but really excited for a sequel that builds on the best parts of the dlc and the overall game

As someone that 100%'d the game during its initial release and someone who continually goes back to it from time to time, there is genuinely no game like it. Cyberpunk 2077 is one of my favorite games of all time and one of the few games where the entire world of the game is a character. Night City still blows me away to this day and the stories that are found and told within it are far beyond any other game I've played. Phantom Liberty only cemented my thoughts. I am so very happy that they made the game playable with all of their patches. It's still not what they initially promised, but I am still so happy to play what they have created.

im superglad they didnt give up on the game and stuck with it to its current state, honestly ive been waiting for it since 2012 iirc when i first saw the nuts vid with the Cyberpsycho and MaxTac ^^ and i put over 700 hours into it since Dec '23, replaying the story several times, first unmodded then modded, and i still to this day discover new things i havent seen before on my adventures. a story so good it had me tear up several times, and so branched out that 2 playthroughs can be so vastly different that its mindblowing. and that it lets u play in so many diff ways, gun blazing, cyberpsycho style melee, silent cyber ninja or chiphead superhacker to just name a few of the countless possible builds... nothing but major respect for CyberPunk2077 and the comeback it made ^^ oh btw one realy great example of the level of detail they put into the story is the Casino Mission in Dogtown: depending on if u manage to sneak in without raising alarm a single time (or if fail to do so) affects the end of the mission when u leave the Casino eventually, if Red has gotten a rough treatment before u find him, or if he simply waits for u to leave together. such a small detail, barely 1% of the mission, and yet they covered it. and thats with so many things and details, its truely spectacular * ^^ *

Knowing their history and Myer’s current intentions with So Mi, I’m not sure how anyone could rationalize betraying Song as just, but I’ve seen it happen in people’s play throughs and it’s a bit shocking to see how differently someone’s brain can work from yours. The themes of this story could not be clearer.

I'm just playing two runs simultaniously, a Girlboss Netgunner Streetkid for Judy Romance and a Nomad Tech-Solo (E-Gorilla Arms, Breakthrough, fully modded Satara and Lizzie) Bro for Panam. Ofc also heavily modded, from Body (Solo 2.0 + Lethal Curves Rig rules or Atlas with supermuscle map for the Dude) over clothes, hair, makeup, eyes to weapons/attachements, textures, vehicles including flying your own AV or a tuner garage, clean up mods, for some dirt and garbage, fix up and expand/modify apartments (love the Glen one) or make some parts of H10 accessible or add cats to the apartments, like the bottom market and some more residential parts, to expanded romances or making Rita romancable and added quests, refined mechanics and gameplay, to Nova LUT, having actual night vision or/and flashlights available to you at all time...not to mention early access to the penthouse for a boatload of Eddies, depending on your SC...or making BD sets useful with the famous Hotscenes mod and so on and so forth. Not to mention that there is now a somewhat decent NG+ mod available as well...

One weird decision that CDPR made is putting Hard mode as the actual Normal mode. It has a bar code under it as a symbol that it's the recommended difficulty. The naming scheme should be, Story mode, Easy, Normal, Hard instead of Easy, Normal, Hard, Very Hard.

4:17 bedor i get deeper into the video .. i firstly watched all the drama about the game and i did not get it because of the drama and because my pc was garbage at that moment after the release of the anime i got sucked into this insane universe and got so hyped that i got myself the game and damn my first playthrough was so god damn nice allthough i probably got the worst ending short after phantom liberty came out i bought it but still too this day havent made a new playthrough because i now want to get the best experience i played arround with mods and saw how well the game could look on the latest and greatest gpu‘s and i thought to my self „i wanna do my next run going ALL IN!“ and now when december comes i will get myself a new gpu i was waiting for 2 years now im so hyped… what i wanna say is even when i had just one playthrough in a at the time not yet completed game im still in love with its world and its is and will be the best game ive played so far and it will not be the last playthrough this has a very high chance to be a every year game with all its different endings and routs you can take

Beautified both girls, gave Judy a little more curve and nicer hair, but keeping the general style, gave Panam her concept hairstyle aka parted curly hair from Panam Reimagined, the Panam Body Enhanced 2.1 by hyst, Panam's New Look...added Panam Romanced Enhanced and I really want to stay at your house for both and so on ) ^^

sorry but u got Reeds story a bit wrong... he wasnt "just Undercover" he was offered up as sacrefice to Arasaka to apease them, and barely escaped with his life. after that he went into Sleeper mode for the next 7 years... Alex was told he betrayed them and sold out to Arasaka and was subsequently killed, and she was "asked" to stay in Dogtown to keep eyes and ears open basicaly. shes tells u her part pretty well, and so does Reed actually. but i get that its SOOOO much frikin lore, cant rem it all, and every point completely ofc ^^ all in all u do a pretty good job summarising such an extensive story rough enough to give ppl an idea even if they never played it, without going into so much detail that it becomes impossible to comprehend ^^

Game of the century! And I really believe it to be so, as this last 3-4 years of videogames has actually sucked pretty bad (there a still a few games worth your time but not really). And it's just gotten better since it's initial launch

CDPR made so many memorable moments its not funny. My single hardest decision was to betray So Mi or not. I cannot put in words how that series of events really tugged at me. I eventually played all the endings, but ... wow. Only one other game has ever caused that much anxiety over a plot choice and that was Mass Effect 2's final mission.

I so fcking glad i havent played the game till 2.0 update. I knew from the begining that whoever though that this FIRST next-gen engine will realease on 9 consoles whihc include last generation was so out of touch with reality this game was destined to fail. If this was next gen(current gen) only and PC we would have gotten mostly bug free experience and maybe over some time more expansions. Anyway im sure that most of us that have played the game agreee that we are definetly going to buy sequel.

I had never played Cyberpunk 2077 until July of this year when I bought the Ultimate Edition. The game immediately grabbed me by the choombas and I was ready to kill if I had to, and burn the city down if I had to 😆 I was not disappointed and I have over 700 hours played since July 2024. Sure it still has some glitches but certainly modding the game makes it even better. I have been gaming since the mid-1980's starting with an Amiga 500. I have never found a game that got so much of my attention until Phantom Liberty and Cyberpunk 2077. I have finished 4 playthroughs and on my 5th 100-hour playthrough now, mainly scavenging Dogtown as I decide which ending I want to try for my Male V Corpo. I have finished The Star, Don't Fear the Reaper, (aka The Sun) and sending So MI to the moon (twice) were all such emotional feels when the end credits finally played.

Sounds like you have not done the Reed side ending sequence. I would recommend that one next And for the main game do the devil ending.

@verios44 I am most of the way through Dogtown quests, and was definitely thinking of Reed's ending. Since I have already sent So MI to the Moon twice. Plus it's the only ending you are allowed to say "fuck off" to Myers and give away the medal she gives you 😄 I have not done the Rogue ending or Trusting Araska for the Devil yet, maybe on my 6th playthrough.

@@verios44 That would actually be cool. Couldnt find a mod for that either, not on a quick search on the Nexus...havent tested if you can have some fun via the hotscenes mod with Skye or the other one yet. But the scene was awesome, memorable and straight into the core.

I feel like the intro of the game was a little bit too rushed, maybe if we had the access to the full game right away and we had few more hours with Jackie, his death would've hit harder, tbh. When he died, it should've been a very sad moment, but you haven't developped any attachment to him by then to feel anything tbh, all the parts where you fastforward skips during "tutorial" mission, from knowing him to developping a friendship felt like it was a massive quest cut to save time and money which resulted in more like the death of an acquaitance than a friend. If they had an introduction to Jackie similar to the Songbird from DLC, it would've hit so much harder imo. Still loved the game, and still going back to it now and then to replay with mods. Also, unpopular opinion maybe, but i would've liked better an anonymous character to Keanu. Felt really forced role and meh.

I thought story and gameplay were good from the start but the gamebreaking bugs were absolutely crippling at launch NGL. Combining this with a compelling setting, characters, voice acting and music it's peak gaming. Slicing thugs into ribbons with a katana while double jumping and listening to female V's ramblings is a regular highlight of my gaming diet.
