yea and they’re fucking terrifying, I just got the game and when takemura saves vee and those terrifying fucking saka assassins come after you with MASSIVE mantis blades and you can’t kill them no matter what they just keep dodging and when it does hit they don’t get hurt. And then the last one jumps on you and brings out the huge blade but takemura luckily kills him just in the nick of time. Shits SCARYY man ahaha

The mono wire being changed to blades just brought me the ability in end part of the game to run mono wire which was originally what I wanted as my build (solely mono wire but instead went katana and tech but changes allowed me to go back to mono wire ). Just a whirlwind of slicing now

Calling BS. Played at launch day and it was near impossible to avoid glitches especially with the cutscenes. NPCs facial expressions constantly stop in the middle of a scene, Jackie's hand still had a gun while pulling out the chip from his head, textures and animations sometimes didn't load, sounds sometimes just cuts out etc.

When I first used these back when the game released. EVERY KILL had this upward stabbing and lifting of the enemy animation. Literally every kill. (Mantis blades)

The Gorilla Arms are the way to go, Boosted strength, & if you want to slice, & Dice. Bring a Katana. Would be nice to have some Customizable Katana's though. Surprised we don't have a hand held Monowire. Mantis blades are cool but I feel they're over hyped. I went Gorilla Arms my first playthrough and let me tell you it's so satisfying when you can walk up to a door and just slam your hands into it and watch as you rip it open. Combat wise I didn't notice much different but the door animation made up for it.

You can’t even customize your cars, cyberwear, weapons, clothing, apartments, 98% of dialog options don’t matter etc Nah the vanilla game is barebones trash not even on the level of Bethesda games from over a decade ago. It’s not worth 30 dollars especially on console where it shouldn’t have even been released

@@a.g.m8790 As I said, I went into the game with no expectations and no biases; no promotional material and promised features. I had zero knowledge of any of that. I had fun. Granted, that is subjective, so it's your prerogative. I don't care about customization of cars. You can customize cyberwear, weapons, clothing. If you're talking strictly appearances, then no, you can't customize the color, details, etc, as most games. You can swap out your cyberware arms, which given it's a FPS where you see your character model strictly in 1% of cutscenes, is totally fine to me. Gun attachments change appearance. Clothing changes appearance. You can even change and "Customize" your clothing modularly with inner and outer layers, something most games do not have. I don't know, that beats games like GTA already, outside of vehicles. Then again, I don't play Cyberpunk for dressing up and taking screenshots while posing my character in clothing and cars, so maybe we are looking at different metrices. Dialog options matter in how the game unfolds. Who survives. It even has entirely different missions (no spoilers) and lockouts based on choice. You can fail quests with important characters. You can miss entire quest chains. If you think choices in games create entirely diverging paths rather than simply branching out slightly with major overlap, you're insane. Name a game that does that. Imagine the costs. I don't play console, so I can't speak to that. But on PC, it is beautiful. The soundtrack is amazing. The verticality the game achieves is unmatched. It is replayable because of the different possibilities of builds and a limited respec. Gun play is fun. Stealth leaves much to be desired, but it is also possible. Story is decent enough, and characters are strong. I don't know, maybe it's just not the game for you.

Lol that was bs marketing which breaks down to you can wear some clothes on top of other clothes and even that system isn’t complete because if the game doesn’t know how to show the underlayer it just makes it disappear completely. As for a *real* modular clothing Kingdom Come: Deliverance did it 4 years ago, Watch Dogs 2 did it 6 years ago and oh btw GTAV did it 9 years ago Idk what tf you’re on about like that’s anything new or groundbreaking lol As for the dialog making a difference no it doesn’t. I’ve played through the game multiple times and saved at each key choice and even side mission choices to see if things actually change. They don’t. The only choices that matter AT ALL are in the last 2 hours of the game. As for can I name a single game where choices offer branching paths I sure can in fact I can name like 10 off the top of my head. KOTOR & KOTOR 2, Fallout New Vegas, Dishonored & Dishonored 2, Divinity Original Sin 2, Witcher 2, Fire Emblem 3 Houses, Radiant Historia, Dragon Age Origins, Disco Elysium, Alpha Protocol. Again not uncommon as has been being done for over 20 years You’re final point. Verticality. STOP. THE. CAP. Verticality is just another one of CDPR’s bs marketing lies. Most of the buildings in Night City don’t even have collision meshes above street level let alone offering verticality. There’s more verticality in Fallout 76 than Cyberpunk 2077 and don’t get me started on the abysmal lack of indoor environments, repetitive 30 second gigs, bland and predictable missions, completely dead open world, Keanu Reeves awful phoned in voice acting.. ugh etc etc etc So yea like I said the game isn’t good and neither is it a technical showcase as DF has already shown w/ each version update. So Idk maybe you’re just easily impressed. If you want a good looking pc game go play Metro Exodus, RE Village or MFS. They’re all better than Cyberpunk 2077 too

Those are, in fact, a thing in the TTRPG CP2077 is based on, Cyberpunk 2020. They were literally called "wolvers". Wonder where they got that name from. :) There were three types of "hand blades" in that game. Wolvers, which were the biggest of them, rippers which were short blades coming out of your fingertips when you flexed your fingers/hands into a "scratching pose" and scratchers which were basically razorblades sliding out from under your nails. Mantis blades seem like they would be a step bigger than wolvers if they had been a part of the original game, and would definitely have required the wearer to have cybernetic arm replacements while the others could conceivably be mounted in an organic arm/hand.

The rocket arms seems to be very weak on PS4 . Nothing explodes heavy like the cars are doing in this video . Even the enemies are not taking big damages .

Press and hold the launch button. But its not a rocket launcher, its a micro-projectile launcher. Think of it like throwing the normal grenade but it never bounces.
