Just a tip for anyone wanting to do this to get tier 5 components scrapping the dupe dosent ruin the glitch stocked up on tier 5 parts💪🏼

Works!! PS5!! Start+Square at the exact same time!! You know it's done correctly when you hear the equipped sound in the Start menu and the item is still visible on the ground. Quick Save. Load up the Quick Save. Note: Be sure to Sell or Disassemble duplicated item (located in backpack) before picking up the original that's laying on the ground. It also makes sense to duplicate next to a vendor. Happy doOping! 👍🏼😎

I found it to be better to not hit both buttons at the same time but hit the two windows slightly before the x button but yeah it works

Works on PS. Just hit Options right before pressing Square. After about 30 minutes of trying, I was able to get the glitch to work around 40% of the time.

I’ve been pressing them pretty much at the same time, maybe even pickup first by a fraction of a millisecond and it’s working pretty much every time.

I have 0 idea if anyone will see this but if you are having issues with the glitch here's a few things I find that work: 1. Ensure you press select and then pick up within a very small time frame (you should get the menu then a split-second after gun will be picked up 2. Ensure quick save is done almost immediately after, sometimes if ur slow abt it weapon will not be there when you load 3. Don't do what I did by not having enough save space lol Happy Duping :)

@1:43 theres only one in your backpack when youre saying you can see 2 bruh. Wheres the 2nd one...there's 2 in you're backpack yes, but one's green & one's metal silver, and one is at the top at 10k as you have listed by value/price and the silver one at the bottom so if they're the same gun why aren't they right next to each other at the same price?

This glitch is such a fucking pain in the ass on console it's really not worth spending an hoyr trying only to get it to happen twice. At least on P.C you can make a macro that'll basically do it everytime but on console even if your pressing the two buttons at the exact same time you won't always get it 🤷🏻‍♂️

It’s not to hard for me on console, I learned to time it, click the pause menu then click the pick up item button a split second after, just try to click the pause button first then the pick up one almost instantly after that. And that’s when I can get it to work best. It still is inconsistent though I won’t lie, but I figured out this makes it a little bit easier to do it and pull it off

@ gotta time it right, put your fingers on the pause and interact/grab button at the same time and press them both simultaneously. I promise it’s not hard I did it on my first try

Maybe it visually bugged out because you sold the original gun you had and not the dupe you can see by the colour of the mods.

Ok so how do you get the original one to show back up in your inventory? Seems to me like if you can't equip it from your inventory, the visual glitch is in the vendor making it look like you still have it...

I did it and see the item I wanna dupe but won’t let me pick it back up it just stay on the floor and when I do try to pick it up it doesn’t go back to my inventory

@ so honestly, the way I thought of it was, options, pick up, as the sound queue starts and ends in the menu screen if you did it correctly, quicksave, you should see the gun in the thumbnail of the quicksave if you have done it correctly (remember that it’s not the actual pressing of a button that the game registers, but the letting go of the button)

Ive attempted this about 30 times and every single time it hasnt worked. Im on series x. Im dropping an assault rifle worth 630, its on the floor, i hover over it and press the window button and x at the same time, it never autosaves and its never on the floor when i load in. Ive also tried hitting the pause button slightly earlier and still nothing. How are you guys getting this to work? Im usually very good at things like this, but it honestly looks like it only works on game files created before the latest patch. Im doing it outside the very first store you come across in the game.

Let me give it a try on a brand new game and let you know. My save is a fairly old one that i ported from Xbox to pc so i have around 100hrs on it.

I've tried it rn. Newest version (im on pc but i dont think it matters) also didn't work first time. You need to have really good timing. If it doesn't autosave save it yourself

I did that, but when i loaded again, the weapon was not there, but when I looked at my loads, it showed the weapon on the ground

It tends to do that but that’s if you do it incorrectly, the right way would be that the original should be in your inventory and the dupe on the floor, the sound of picking up when in the menu button is a way to find out if ya did it right

It works with not iconic weapons as you can’t drop them. But i’m wondering if it works with picking iconic from the ground for the first time you see it - I was trying to pull it off on satori iconic katana before picking it up for the first time but can’t. Is it impossible to dupe iconics then or am I really mistiming it every time somehow

There was a legendary junk item I had in my first play through a few years back that I used to dupe with the OG method at drop points. Plus with the old dupe method, you don’t even have to sell it, you can just dupe it a bunch if that’s what u wanna do 👍

The interact key, to pick it up, and the pause key. Whatever those are assigned to on your platform, could be the Options button, could be the Escape key etc.

You have to push the pause AND interact key at the same time for this to work. If you don't push them exactly together then you won't hear the sound the game will not autosave.

Tried on ps5 all the methods you guys suggested but weapon is either on the floor or in my backpack. Also noticed my game doesn't save automatically when I open the menu like it does in the video. Am I doing something wrong or is it not working?

Drop a weapon and press "square and options" at the same time, don't care about saving, but listen to the game, you should hear the equipping sound cue, then quick save, reload(the same save you made 2sec ago) DO NOT PICK UP ITEM YET, DON'T PICK IT UP YET go to backpack then dismantle or sell the duplicated item (i think dismantling is better cuz you really don't need money if you play the game.) and then you can PICK UP THE ITEM ON THE GROUND IN THE END! and tell me what happened.

It took a few tries and at first i didn't think it worked as the duped guns didn't appear in my inventory. However when i looked into a vender i had the option to sell them. So check in a vendor to see if their just ghosted in your inventory.

​@MR-FAKe- Does work. I press the pause button a split second before I press the take button. If the weapon is picked up while the screen is paused, save it, then if you can see the weapon on the floor in the load file, the glitch worked. Took me a couple goes, but I got it to work.

It does, it’s annoying but it works when you pause it then hear the entire weapon pick up sound it worked, if you don’t even if you hear a little of it it didn’t work

@falskipearpl the timing of the button presses must not be right. You will be hearing the sound then it will quicksave. Reload that save and it will be there

@mightyswordgaming I'm doing it at the right time, and the game makes a save. Then I load the game, enter it, but the weapon isn't on the ground.

@@falskipearpl If the weapon is not on the ground then the timing is not correct i'm afraid. I have done this on both Xbox and PC (with mouse and Keyboard) with the settings in the pinned comment and it is working. When you go to load the save you should see the weapon on the floor.

It should autosave after pressing F and escape but I usually save it again anyway just to be sure.
