@MrBl4ckY2 жыл бұрын
The story told is a beautiful one, set in a horrific vision of the near-future that is all too plausible, where every current era choice is chosen with the worst outcomes... It's a pity that the devs weren't allowed to polish their game to a full shine, because the bits and pieces strewn around the world hide so much detail covered by bad reviews, bugs and anti-marketing. Zuckerbergs Metaverse, NFTs and crypto, AI-based warfare in the eastern european and central asian regions, a decay of old moral values, CP2077 explored all those concepts and more, and showed the worst possible outcomes if current proceedings are left unchecked and pushed without thought.
@mangaas2 жыл бұрын
You mean the story that ends with a brother and sister who you barely know, having a heart-to-heart, before you end up doing a rubix cube on a space station and getting told you're going to die anyways. Yeah, that was an amazing story. Regardless of bugs or terrible AI, the games story is actually one of its weakest points. It has great graphics, and voice acting, but that doesn't equate to great storytelling, nor will this games story be remembered or go down as a classic. For the most part, I loathed almost every game character I came in contact with, Johnny, and even V himself.

If I had a PC and access to essentially endless amount of mods, I’d honestly believe that I would have clocked in 2000 hours across the last 3 years. People even with PC’s (where the game ran best on) decided to shaft the game like sheep purely based on the toxic opinions voiced on social media.

I ripped the audio from this and listen to it on either the drive to or from work everyday. A huge reminder of the impact this game had on my life. It literally changed my life for the better. Worth every penny of the $2000+ I spent on one game (new PC, new TV, new sound system, multiple collector's editions, and literally ALL the merchandise available before launch. That may not sound like much given the market in 2020, but the MSRP for every thing I bought was easily over $5000, so I got VERY lucky with the deals I got). I waited 8+ years for this game since it's announcement on May 31, 2012 (I remember EXACTLY where I was when first announced), so you bet your ass I was going all out for it. The emotional roller coaster, and my personal reflection for days and weeks after my first playthrough (130 hours) and seeing 5 of the 6 endings. Fuck me.... I was literally depressed, but in a good way (if that makes any sense?) Really made me think about my life and all the past decisions I had made, and and had some major revelations about how the rest of my life should go (I am 34 years old, turn 35 in October). On my third playthrough as a Corpo, and I especially relate most to the Corpo origin and convo responses. Wish I had gone Corpo first instead of Street Kid (Nomad was very underwhelming for me my second playthrough). I've intentionally saved the secret ending for the Corpo playthrough. Amazing video, and thank you so much for further inspiring me to change my life just like Cyberpunk did. TLDR: Materialism is bad, enjoy your life, live it to the fullest, and do not take ANYTHING for granted. I already have 90% of the things I want in life from a materialistic standpoint (though do not regret the $2k+ I spent for Cyberpunk), and I like to think I have about 50 years left in me. My new life.... Starts in 2022..... That line from Jackie always gets me.

I turned a blind eye to cyberpunk when it came out. 2 years later i decided to get it and the story line.......ive always been a strong storyline seeker. To the point i watch others play through to see their choices. Look forward to the DLC coming out. How amazing would this game been if AI was implemented in to the point npc's became conscious! We all can agree we would spend more time with Panam than is socially acceptable in real life lol

Whew... I wonder how someone that hasn't experienced these scenes in the game experiences a narrative like this video. That was pretty powerful.

This game really left a huge mark on me, the story of V and Johnny is so powerful, so sad... None of them wanted to fade away, you can feel the fear of both of them in your bones, but even if they had no other choice, at least they wanted to make sure they leaved an impact on the world, they wanted them to know they mattered, that they were here. I love this game to my core, I know it had a rough start, but man, it was a priceless experience for me that has really personal connotation in my life. Thank you CD Projekt for taking this work of art to life and thank you Keanu, for taking the role, it wouldn't have been the same without you.
