Love all the story beats tied to the fall of cyberspace. Makes sense that the sites in game are so barebones. Cities are having to make their own entire system and it both has to be so different from the original internets system that the viruses and daemons can't make the jump but would probably also have to step around other cities trademarks and licensing

Yeah the fall of the net really fuck up alot of people mostly cause humanity by this point and if you want to use are own real world. We are supper reliant on the net many of our daily thing weather it be how we talk to people, archive stuff, even our military reliant on the net. The second the net was hit with so many demons, an AI going wild just plugging in would have killed you or cause something in the real world to go nuts and end someone life.

AI easy fry this systems or capture line and real hack of any protocols flaw. It's beyond any standart security measures. People parts filled with: Elite Black ice everywhere, self evolving viruses and corpo sectors with zero tolerance policy. Beyond black wall: BARTMOSS AI mayhem, tottal "crisom forest" filled with original soul killer AI witch zero you in matter of picosecond, rabbies witch zero shread anything processing advanced than perfocards, Data crash - and forget about hard drive or any store of data.

I think it’s a matter of speed. You can react and move much faster through a direct interface as opposed to older physical methods. And most netrunners are going to have tons of safeguards in place in the form of Data Fortresses.

Gonna be honest there's a lot of parallels to cyberspace and the warp Both are extremely dangerous realms inhabited by malevolent entities Both were corrupted by cataclysmic events, 4th corporate war and rabids, and the war in heaven U can die if you are not protected or careful enough You can manipulate both realms to your advantage but you risk dying or worse everytime you do

The warp cyberspace may be a hell scape but the warp is multiple hell scapes and unlike the net there are actual daemon there not to mention there’s the fact that everything you’ve ever thought of Consciously or subconsciously becomes reality and this has caused everything in the warp to become so bumfuck crazy it only takes a few seconds for a normal human to become insane there’s also the matter of death if something bad happens in cyberspace you’re brain will get literally Fried and you’ll probably die instantly in the warp depending on where you are I can be a slow and painful death for example in kornes domain your likely to Either get you head cut off or beaten to death in slannesh’s world you will be driven to the point of insanity and then killed papa nurgle will have all your flesh rot away slowly and tzeentch will transform your body in to a blob of tentacles and mouths were they shouldn’t be then turn you into a chair kill you and the Bring you back to life so he can Repeat the process so ya warps worse
