Cyberpunk 2077 Female V Alone and Afraid | "Where is my Mind" Ending

To me, if you played as a Corpo, this actually comes full circle. V has now made Arasaka, the corporation that fucked her over, the next dominant superpower in the global economy. And now her reward is that she gets to be immortal and perhaps be used again by Arasaka when they manage to find a way to get V a body. This is the way of the Corpo. You leave friends behind and climb the ranks where you are set for life. In retrospect, you are a stonecold Corporate.

This is exactly what I did with my corpo V. I had my nomad V leave with Panam, while having street kid just walk into arasaka HQ and destroy everything. This ending had me bummed out for a few days.

As my corpo V I just completely changed V's life, romanced Panam, became a Nomad and left Night City and never looked back. A very nice way to go from Corpo, considering the way we were fired and the way Jackie kept telling us to leave that life and never look back.

I am not too sure that they will give V a new body. Arasaka didn't care about V anymore, Hanako didn't even bother answering the phone call. I feel like this is the ending, where V will stay in Mikoshi forever, betrayed by Arasaka. Arasaka has no reason to ever release V, especially since he/she is completely useless for Arasaka now. V was left mentally broken by the operation where Arasaka removed Johnny, he/she couldn't even pass simple motoric tests, couldn't even solve a 2x2 cube. V is useless now, thats why they even allowed him/her to go back to earth. V is neither a threat nor a help to anyone at this point. Thats what I find so sad about this ending

The ending where you roll up and take on Arasaka all alone with Johnny also fits in it's own way. You got ran out of the corpo life over some petty drama between two bosses and the corporation doesn't even bother to help after the fact. You learn both firsthand how shitty the lifestyle is and how awful they are to the world when becoming a merc after Jackie dies. Strolling up to burn the fucking building to the ground guns blazing as payback for what the corpo lifestyle did to V, to manifest Johnny's final will, along with trying to figure out a solution for the relic is just too good and on point. The biggest monsters and threats to Corpos, are often of their own design. They should've just killed Johnny and never put him in the engram. They really should've just killed V after discovering what V was tasked to do with Abernathy. But they failed to do so, because the corpos as entities got too full of themselves and too complacent. And now Johnny and V get their furious revenge. For what they did to them, for what they did to Jackie, for what they did to the world. Starting Corpo and ending it by riding till you die with Johnny, blasting everything in Arasaka tower to smithereens. You failed to kill the Samurai, and now you're on the chopping block. You get what you fucking deserve Arasaka.

I played as Street Kid, and I chose to leave with the Aldecaldos. As I saw it, V started her journey wanting to become a legend of Night City, but after all her losses, after dying, after every struggle along the way, she learned that having family and friends to spend your life with was worth more than your name being talked about by strangers. In the end, she left the city behind with people she came to call family, as well as Judy, whom she rescued before Night City could swallow her. My V didn’t become a legend, but the people she’s helped in the city, the feats she performed, the friends she made, they’ll remember her, and that’s all that matters as she spends the last of her days with people that love her. But I also love the ending where Johnny gets V’s body. He gets a second chance to be a better person thanks to the time he spent with V, but is cursed with being stuck in her body and hated by her friends and loved ones, even despite that it was what V wanted.

Saddest ending to me was taking the easy way out by offing yourself on that rooftop with Johnny. As a suicide attempt survivor, hearing the reaction of all your friends in the end credits really hit home for me. Put a fat ass lump in my throat. Judy’s phone call was by far the most emotional.

I honestly couldn't tell you how long I waited at that door, it felt like I made the biggest mistake. The first time I got the good ending with panem, the second time went to space and got Johnny "removed" and chose to return to earth and when I heard v sing I knew v and Johnny were fused together mentally. I also found the ending where you just give up and well that broke me, especially the voicemails. That ending actually made me think about the consequences of doing it myself and I have since gotten better. Thank you CDPR

In 2015 my dad passed away, as a person he didn't have much contact with anyone outside family and friends were few and far in between. Toward his end, he developed into more cynical, lonely, depressed, and incredibly hard to talk to. Shortly after he passed my uncle and I cleaned through his home and I took notice of his cellphone with an empty battery (that I recharged) and looked through its contents, there were a couple voicemails left behind from friends and acquaintances. Not long after other acquaintances left messages on his out-of-date Facebook profile congratulating him on his birthday, I DMed those people and had to convey the bad news. When I, regrettably, chose the Arasaka ending there was an enormous parallel on V being completely alone, leaving everyone behind those who tried to reach with no closure. This ending, to me, is the saddest one of all available in the game - I can be empathetic, sympathetic and lowkey-sad in games, but rarely do I get emotional. Cyberpunk managed to do that, and that's why I consider it to be one of the best games as of late despite all the technical issues.

I hope your father's in a better place and free from the worldly attachments. And just based on how you structure your thoughts, I'm sure he's proud of how you turned out. It gets pretty rough knowing people were there for you, but in the end you're ultimately alone to deal with your thoughts even if you're sitting next to someone. Even if it seemed short, he did what he needed to do in this life which was provide lessons in character growth for the people around him. This title's one of the best to come out in the past 2 decades. It's a rare thing to find a game that's relatable and captures the human emotion so well.

@@richardsmall5265 In corpo world, where reputation is everything It's easy to view Arasaka and other corps as evil, from our perspective as V, which they very well might be, but in the end they buy and sell things - among other things services. V provided them a massive service so it's not impossible that they don't respond in kind Even more so if they recognise how much more worth V is alive than dead since V singlehandedly gives them a change of management and takes out their best operatives. When you can't trust a corp, trust in their greed.

I do think Panam's ending with Judy as your loved one is the best. It still has hope. V has new medication that seem to help/delay it. And Panam has alot of connections they where going to try out. Its my happy ending, as far as it goes in this game. They promised a new ending with the new DLC. Big chance with Songbird. Hope it's a happy one.

I honestly prefer them in first person. It doesn't take you out of your character, and makes you view the events of every scene through the eyes of V. I like it way more. They did 3rd person cutscenes in Far Cry 6 for the first time, and all the cutscenes don't feel personal at all, theres not much connection to the main character because of that.

Probably the worst ending in the entire game not only for V but for the world as a whole. Saburo gets to basically live forever with the help of Soulkiller and the relic technology, meaning that Arasaka have an immortal, ruthless leader who is willing to sacrifice his own son to get what he wants and to help Arasaka keep and expand the iron grip that it has over the world. And V lives in a soul prison as Arasaka property, going in completely unsure if Arasaka would even give them a new body. As the prompt says before the final cutscene you are literally surrendering your soul to Arasaka.

Taking over his own son's body as revenge was fucking twisted. As much as the son deserved it. Actually living inside your son's body. Looking in the mirror (big thing in this game) and seeing his sons face. Bothers him not a bit. Considering in this ending you killed Jonhy is not heroic at all. The best possible way and maybe cannon is to assault the tower alone and give the body to Jonhy, that way nobody dies, V becomes a night city legend and lives on as an AI. The aldecados one at first glance may be the good one but in reality is one of a slow and painful death, that clinic Panam sugest it's the same Helman tells you about and he clearly says: to ease your passing.

I love V, and the one ending that gave me the best feels was definitely 'The Star' ending with Panam (and Judy if she's been romanced). This is the closest we can get to having a "happy" ending for V, as they are doomed to die within months no matter what we do.

I have yet to do this ending and I don't know if I will ever do it, but this scene made me actually cry. It's so heartbreaking seeing the expressions on V's face as "Never Fade Away" plays and that it is both versions vocals playing sort of overlapped, like she can still hear Johnny, even though he is gone by this point. It's such hopeless moment, ending ambiguously, and almost as sad for me as the suicide ending, and the direct aftermath - seeing everyone's holocalls (Judy being the hardest one to bear, if you've seen it). Definitely got me right in the feels.

The Arasaka family might've achieved divinity through souls.. or will now pass a single man's copied intelligence from one vessel to another. Soulkiller's method is so horrifying and yet so little is understood on what it does. It's horrifying to imagine that your soul could be copied, one dies while one lives to suffer the torment in isolation of Mikoshi.

I have a different take on this ending. Obviously spoilers ahead. By reinstating Saburo Arasaka, V had inadvertently prevented the next Corporate War, or at least postponed it. Yorinobu was delusional about destroying the corporations. Slaughtering the Arasaka family and escalating the tension between Arasaka and Militech? Even if somehow we do end up with Arasaka and Militech entering a war and crippling each other, some other corpo is just gonna step up and take their place. Besides, in any war it's always the little people that suffer the most (cue Russia vs. Ukraine), no matter how noble or righteous the goal it seems. The first thing Saburo did when he returned was to de-escalate the situation, and he ain't wrong.

Militech is practically the NUSA government and they don't need to do anything but watch Arasaka bleed after their 'Secure your Soul' project gets disgraced and destroyed.

I don't get people interpreting some sort of hope into this ending. The game is pretty on the nose about how to take the endings. They cipher has always been Misty and she outright tells you before any ending happens how to take it. The corpo endings have no silver linings. If V goes to earth, V dies by winter. If V goes to Mikoshi V will not be resurrected but ends up a prisoner and guineapig for Arasaka just like Johnny. The dialog at the at the end betrays the intent. Hellman/Takemura lies. He has a slip of tongue. First denying that Hanako has anything to do with the visit and she already forgotten V and then when the desired outcome is not achieved making a 180° turn saying the offer is from Hanako. Saying there are no complains is as hallow as it gets, no shit dead people do not complain. When Takemura is saved he switches to a white suite when serving Hanako, when he serves Saburo he wears black and he wears black when he visits V on the station. He is not send by Hanako but Saburo.

In this ending, V looks just like she's headed for her own execution. But there's clean white surfaces, no guards and only her own thoughts, doubts and fears keeping her company for the final moment. Suffice to say, this ending is difficult to watch the first, second and probably third time and onward.

This V looks perfectly good. Mine looked like a walking Picasso painting no matter what I did. I finally gave up and made her look as ugly and clownish as possible not aware that the endings would have these 3rd person cutscenes so I ruined whatever immersion I had.

One thing I enjoyed about this ending is how this is the only ending where V doesn't tear or throw away the bullet necklace given to her/him by Misty. In all other endings, V tosses it away. Leaving that life behind to do what they will for however long they'll live left. In this one however.. They hold onto the necklace. It's the last reminder of freedom they'll ever have.. As they sign over their life to Arasaka as nothing more.. than an engram. V will die, but something will remain in the future. But will they even know that's them? Will they ever leave Mikoshi? Was the price of freedom worth it just to live?

Actually I really like this ending, it gives me those "Black Mirror" vibes that I love so much, the fear of death made you realize that you're no different from the ones you accused, and eventually you surrender to the corporations, I think that this ending portrays perfectly the human hypocricy.

Looking at her hands I can't help but notice the lack of palm prints and finger prints, as if that is a purposeful omission to indicate that when they are looking at their hands they are actually looking just at plastic and metal.

For me, the best ending is when she and Johnny got a lone super fine, and went to arasaka, killed smasher, and V went with alt. But she said goodbye to Johnny, while Johnny lived on her body. I was like well... v can finally rest in peace. In the end Johnny respected that. And loves v until the end. Beautiful

Yeah he always wanted to destroy Arasaka and even saw Johnny as a pioneer of sorts. We see him as a villain because we were tools he used to achieve this goal.

The answer to the title is: So what else is new? most of the people have already been feeling like this or were literally like it. idk why people think this is a bad ending, johnny made it Why wouldn't us. even if it is a diagram who thinks it's us, this is still a win V would die no matter what, even if they added an ending that V's mind would be restored/saved, They would still perish in time.
