@@CrowofYharnamhave you even played the game? it has a linear cinematic main storyline, set in an open world, where the player can choose where they take the action. the side stories are some of the best original content in the game. the world is like a collection of stories and the player gets to actively discover them through their actions. it is an action game, an arpg, so there arent life skills like fishing and cooking. it isnt a dating sim either. i dont know what else you want from an action rpg but you sound like a spoiled baby who's never had to work hard to create something before. you have the imagination of a fish. cp2077 is a technical marvel that got rushed out by greedy suits and investors. cdpr worked hard on the game and continued to work hard fixing it and even went above and beyond with the scale and scope of phantom liberty. millions of gamers are loving their time in cp2077. you not so much. that's your problem. just go back to playing CoD or madden and leave the more sophisticated games to the more intellectually-minded gamers.

I love this game so goddamn much. I already considered it as one of my top 5 games, but it just continues to climb the more I think about it. It has a moment for every single emotion. Bravo on this - I too felt the exact same way playing through the game since day one (granted, on a fairly high end PC). This game has always made me actually, for lack of a better word, feeeeel more than another. CDPR has always been phenomenal at creating missions with little to no combat that wreak of dense, emotional storytelling and CP2077 took this to another level entirely. Phantom Liberty expanded on this even more while patch 2.0 was just the icing on the cake.

I have played the game since day 0 on and off. The only point where I was unhappy with the game was the first week or two when it would actually crash on my PC and full of glitches like trees showing through buildings. After 1.2 or something like that it was pretty good despite not being what we had been promised. 1.6 was darn good and 2.0 is just really good, what it should have been at launch.

Im glad someone made this video. "Cyberpunk is finally fixed" is the most frustrating, repeated commentary title of all time. The game has been a great one in its core from the start and for me atleast was completely beatable and enjoyable its FIRST week on PC. People seemed to ignore the endings and story by latching to the hate train due to its bugs and launch on last gen (which is fair) and only began to give the game a legit chance when the anime suceeded. Its just kinda annoying.

I agree so much with how even before update 2.0 and Phantom Liberty, the game already had so much to offer. Full of great stories and choices that were impactful - Yes, maybe not world shattering, but impactful, because they made you think. A lot of the side quests and gigs and the choices within them remain with me to this day and I've been playing since launch. One example of that is a gig where you're tasked by a cop to retrieve a cctv footage for his investigation. Turns out, that cctv footage is of a murder he committed. The player would be presented with the choices of killing him, taking his bribe, or calling him out on it but not killing him. I chose to call him out on it but didn't kill him because I was a merc for hire after all, not some justice warrior, and I didn't want to disappoint my fixer, which is that cop's friend. Later on in the game, I walk in at a bar and found that cop there. I approached him and he started gloating about his promotion. That's when my choice of not killing him really hit me. Made me think if that fucker really deserved to live. There are many more gigs with impactful choices and moral dilemmas like that. Yes, it's not world shattering, Night City is still Night City, but it makes you think about life, your life, and how you make your choices. As for Phantom Liberty. After finishing the main quest, side quests, and all the gigs in Dogtown, I thought I was finished with the expansion, but much later on at a random location in Corpo Plaza, I stumbled upon a guy that I helped in one of the gigs in the expansion, and he was grateful but kinda irked that I didn't kill the person that's been harassing him and his buddy. I also received a text messaged from another person from one of the gigs in Dogtown after a few days when I thought I've finished all activities in the expansion. I've played so many great games. Mass Effect series, The Witcher 1-3, Ghost of Tsushima, Red Dead Redemption 2, etc but I've always thought Cyberpunk 2077 belonged to their tier even right after release on PC version, and now with update 2.0 and Phantom Liberty, it just solidifies it as my favorite game of all time.

There's scenes that blow your mind, make you cry, and remember that art truly makes us feel. This game reminds us that in an unruly and dangerous world, there is life and love. I gotta say, out of nowhere I've started watching Cyberpunk content, and holy shit does this game look awesome. The lore, the world, the design, the story of V and their friends, as well as enemies. I was definitely hesitant at launch, I mean some of those glitch videos were horrific, on top of that I had no way of playing it since it wasn't optimised for what is now Last-Gen consoles. I still don't unfortunately, my PS4 busted and my PC can't run it, BUT once I get a chance to play this I know I'll fall in love with it. Hell yeah to Cyberpunk 2077, can't wait to get my chance to visit NC.

Indeed, this game is the pinnacle of gaming for me. Cyberpunk 2077 is not yet another regular and forgettable story on the market of video games, but something more. It is that which brings joy every time it's booted up. It is that which lets us forget the troubles of our realities. It is that which many hold dear, describing it as the game that brought them out of darkness. Even if one does not share the same excitement and feelings as the aforementioned type of person, one cannot deny the game's potential to bring something meaningful into one's life. I truly loved playing Cyberpunk and still do. Not many companies have the ability to forge such impactful games. But to those that do, such as CD Projekt Red - not only with Cyberpunk 2077, but the Witcher Trilogy too - I salute them for their efforts and hope that they find it within themselves to never cease their aspiration of evolving.

I completely and wholeheartedly agree with your intro. I got the buggy mess at release and worked through all the adversity and experienced the most amazing roleplaying experience of my lifetime to date. I played from childhood and always loved roleplay games of all sorts including some obscure titles (Paranoia and Cthulhu come to mind along with Shadowrun). I am in my 50's now and still love a good RPG more than any other type of gaming. The story the characters and the whole environment of Cyberpunk 2077 took me completely by surprise and I found in it the kind of roleplay experience I had not known since our weekly gatherings for one game or other where we all (six or seven of us due to occasional obligations for us all) really enjoyed the stories and the lives, trials and triumphs of our imaginary selves. This game singlehandedly brought back the wonder, feelings and pure magical immersion of a new Imaginary self. Thank you CDPR for working through the hard times and bringing childlike joy and the trials and triumphs so sorely missed by me in modern gaming.

Having people go from asking "isn't it trash/broken?" whenever I brought up cyberpunk at launch and years beyond. To being shut down/barely acknowledged for my love for it - to being met with similar excitement or genuine curiosity nowadays it is simply jarring. This video put my feelings into words - the core of this game has always been there. If you were lucky enough to notice and bask in it instead of looking out for the bad and sinking into criticism- you too know this game has always been what it is now, albeit rightfully improved now. i just play cyberpunk recently on pc, for me if u want to see the immersive when u're in a peace state like walking through the city and looking at the npc routine its not that immersive. but if u played at least hard difficulty, its a different story... u'll find maelstrom randomly chasing u more ofthen then normal difficulty, or find urself in the middle of car chasing like first episode of edgerunner anime and dogtown being more like how dogtown supposed to be when vdb scav and barghest shooting eachother in the middle of the town (other than fight for lootdrop). for me thats the immersive i was looking for in the city like Night City

I think if patch 2.0 was the launch version of the game, i wouldn't have endeared myself so much to it. My first playthrough was focused on story and characters, so i got to know the world and got a feel for all the players in that world. My next playthrough was playing with different responses, actions, and outcomes. When 1.5 dropped, I had my play style figured out and was full-on in immersion. I've been playing a new file since 2.0 went live and there is a lot here I don't know i would have noticed or appreciated had it all been there day one.

You made the right decision. I bought this on day one and the hate was well earned. It was a broken, buggy mess and on previous gen consoles it was borderline unplayable to the point Sony even refunded store purchases (something they’ve never done before or since). The game today is incredible but the launch game was one of the biggest screw ups in gaming history. I feel like this video is strongly trying to gloss over what a catastrophe it was. But the developers stuck it out and turned a turd into gold which they deserve credit for.

My favorite part about this game is the music. And the music was the reason why this game received so much hate on release. Many people, who only watched walkthroughs on youtube or twitch and didn't play the actual game, were literally watching game without any music, because streamers played in "streamer-mode" where almost all music was muted because of copyright. And so streamers themselves had a bad opinion on the game without realizing how beautiful it actually was. This issue was lasting for around a month, then it was fixed and "streamer-mode" was removed from the game.

I put about 2 hours in at launch. Dropped it pretty fast. Put about 7 hours into it after the “next gen patch” and was really enjoying it but then heard rumors that the dlc would take place during the main story so I dropped it again to wait. Just finished it and phantom Liberty last night and holy moly. This game is so so beautiful in a plethora of ways. It’s unfortunate that the team wasn’t just allowed to delay it another year and make it next gen only. The bugginess, some undelivered features, and last gen performance really soured this game’s reception and I’m very glad they got to turn it into something closer to what they envisioned. Very high hopes for the eventual sequel.

The combination of consistent first person POV and the focus on and quality and fidelity of the character writing is what makes it so special, I think. If it were just wholly in first person, OR if it just had fully believable characters, it wouldn't be as impactful. It has both though, and it leans into its writing and world by really digging into the smaller moments and elements of the interpersonal relationships. The other characters aren't along for the ride of your story, they're not there for you and you're also not there to do all their shit for them. You're there for each other, and for the little moments together. They feel like friends, not party members or companions. And at least for me, I never felt like I was playing or viewing or shepherding someone else's story, or just controlling a character. It wasn't about getting invested in the relationship between V and Judy, it was about me and Judy, and I really don't think I'd have felt quite like that if I could see those interactions from the outside in, as it were.

Cyberpunk 2077 has the world I fell in love with starting from it's launch, but the constant challenges of it's broken state masked the beauty it definitely posses. Now that all the brokeness has been minimized to it's least along with the arrival of the expansion. it's beauty shines. One thing I feel like CDPR missed though. No official flying vehicles or mechanic. mod is good, but mod is to a point not enough. Still Love the game, been having multiple playthroughs throughout the year.

@@FranklyGaming Definitely lategame where you can acess flying with ease, such as modified personal AV or modified/customized car that flies. But throughout the early to half pats of the game, just limit it's access like only being able to access it on AVs & stations of Flying transportation & they can make the combat around flying vehicles as interesting as Ground vehicular combat. It'll also be good if they'll make the Crystal Palace available or even just small part of it. Flying vehicle such as Rockets can be viable on getting up there. & I hope it won't be too much to have at least level section, mission, Setpieces that'll set in the Moon colonies if viable. There's just a lot they could expand on this world whilst still setting it on Night City for the second game. But after Cyberpunk 2077 release, I'll prolly expect less to not get my hopes up. As long as it's more improved, more expansive than the first game, Narrative, Atmosphere & gameplay wise I'll be down for Cberpunk 2.

CDPR falsely advertised a highly interactive RPG brimming with reactivity and interactivity throughout. I don't think that the space ending is necessarily V being a selfish monster, I did the "don't fear the reaper" ending so I wouldn't have to risk anyone's life but my own. In the end I thought the best outcome for my V would be to do the job for Blue Eyes and possibly get the cure while still being able to influence Night City for a more positive future as the Afterlife head. In my ending Saul and Rogue are both still alive and I figured it was worth Vs personal happiness to make sure people didn't lose their loved ones. But man it was hard to say goodbye to Johnny, but its what he ultimately decided he wanted in the end.

With Misty‘s tarot card reading, Panam’s contacts to help V, and all the other signs pointing towards them being able to find a cure for V is awesome! I hope we get to continue their story together. In my mind, they found the cure for V and they went off and lived a happy life in love, and with all their loved ones. Johnny being reunited with Alt is a fitting send off for him too. You were wrong at the 31:26 mark. The reason Cynthia changed herself wasn't because she was "ugly". She's obviously changed her looks completely to assume a new identity to hide from something or someone. My guess it that she made some powerful enemies and is now living under a new identity, and that's why she's so secretive about it. You can tell by her fear and worry when you talk to her that she doesn't want anyone digging into her past.

@FranklyGaming The quest is about her husband thinking she cheated on her with another man because their child doesn't look like he'd expected based on their appearances, which implies it's born with features neither of them have. I read that as the child possibly having african or asian features, as she says that you can change everything but your genes. Her changing her looks because she was ugly wouldn't be something she'd have the same need to keep a secret, because almost everyone in NC has had some work done on them and there's no social stigma associated with using plastic surgery to make yourself pretty. But she changed her eyes, hair, skin and facial features to become a completely different person. To me that sounds more like someone trying to create a new identity to escape from their past life than someone just thinking they're ugly. Edit: I remember finding a massacred homeless camp with some soldiers. One of them have a shard that tells of them looking for a wanted person who's had a complete face change, and detaining everyone for DNA tests is too much of a hassle so they just kill everyone there to be sure. I think Cynthia is in the same sitch.

Man, you are so right. During that time, some of my friends, who literally never even play games, were talking shit about it. Like, I know, for 100% sure, they never tried it, because literally they don't play ANY games, EVER. Yet they had to jump on the bandwagon and talk shit, and yes, they were just repeating the same crap they read from trolls online. I played CP2077 from launch on PC and enjoyed it from day 1. It was ALWAYS a fun game. Sure it had some bugs back then, but really, those things mainly happened like while commuting from one quest to the other. The quests themselves were fun, the stories were great, the characters were amazing. What you described about seeing poor Judy sob over Evelyn and looking into Panam's eyes, I have literally said the same thing to people, that's what makes the game so great. I spend a good amount of my time thinking about this game and its characters when I'm not playing it, like literally while at work sometimes I will be thinking about this game. That's how much deep it really hits with me, that it stays with me for much longer than I actually spend playing it. Like I seriously wanted to jump through the screen to give Judy a hug while she sobbed, as if she's a real person, I felt her pain and felt bad about it. And what you said about the things people celebrate about it has always been in the game is also so true. Look at all of the starfield comparison videos out there. A lot of them use quests from the original game as the Cyberpunk example, so literally been in the game since launch.
