Cyberpunk 2077 was one of the most hyped video games of the last decade and it's launch has been utterly catastrophic. It pains me to make this video, it truly does. But somebody has to show just how glitchy and bug-ridden this mess is. I still enjoy the game, but before I can even think about reviewing it, this video needs to be made. And I have to show you just how many glitches are in this game.

Funnily enough, New Vegas was absolutely broken at launch. Like glitches that could make the game completely unplayable. if you have an old copy of New Vegas, delete the updates and play the 1.0 version and it was far worse than CP 2077 is, at least on PC so far

Funny thing is, it's been listed out in multiple articles that on release there is no concurrent Next Gen version that is until later next year once the Next gen versions are ready lol. So what ever they leased out to the console industry is meant to be played on PS4 or the XB1. Anything else on PS5 and XBX is played through backwards compatibility.

I had fun with the bugs, not gonna lie, found two that will not let me go 100% in both characters I made and that's kind of sad but it's no biggie for me because my main storyline remained untouched and I was able to finish the game in about 42 hours. That being said, I hope they get better performance and get rid of quest related bugs as soon as possible, because when it performs well it's a beautiful game (not the masterpiece everyone was hyped for) but when it performs poorly it's just a mess. I've been gaming for 23 of my 25 years, pretty sure I don't remember anything from the early days, but for me just being able to run CP77 is cool enough, I had the same rig for 10 years without upgrading it, as a matter of fact it only got downgraded as years went by, as soon as I finished college and got a job I bought myself a new rig and realised what I missed: being part of the release posse that get to experience games as they come out, with bugs and whatnot... It's pretty personal, I know, but it's one of the reasons why I find bugs kind of funny.

Im sorry but I try to get this video. Is the glitching/bugs something to do with your setup. I finished the game with 0 gamebreaking bugs. There was few minor bugs though. None of the stuff in the video happened to me. Did I play the game wrong? It's GOTY for me. I didn't do hype(I never do hype because of launches and such so blaming hype is a no). Got it as a gift from a friend and strangely enjoyed to my hearts content. 47h in thus far. Got few side missions left.

Advertising is a wonderful thing and that definitely screwed the devs over but if you look at when they actually got into development it was around four years ago when they got serious about getting cyberpunk done, a 3D game with multiplayer functionalities is incredibly hard to code and frankly I don’t envy any one of the people that are involved but I don’t think people realize that it was almost entirely a PR incident, if any game was released this early you would have the same complaints about it, if you’ve seen Assassins Creed Unity you would say that Ubisoft is a bad developer, but the game industry has never had a talent problem, only a time problem. Most game developers only lack the time to do de bugging, and with employees getting death threats from angry ass gamers no wonder they figured it was time to slap Cyberpunk on it’s back and kick it’s ass out the door.

If it was one, this would be one of the worst scams ever done. It wouldn’t make sense why they would overwork their employees and allow them to tell people about the terrible working conditions they are put under. That would only hurt sales since some will not buy your product as it supports employee mistreatment. There would be no reason to actually hire keanu as a voice actor for the game cause you’d just have him appear on stage at e3 and that would be enough. There’s no reason for cdpr to still be under the spotlight currently. They should have gone dark right after launch and ran off with the money immediately. Staying under the spotlight has only lead them to lose sales as people refund their copy of the game and now put them under potential lawsuits from investors. It also makes no sense why the devs are currently mad at leadership inside cdpr if they were in on the scam. There is also no reason for them to actually make a game of any kind. There’s a ton of high poly assets and animations in game which someone had to make themselves. That means they’d need to hire people and spread the profits made from this scam out even more. This would be a terrible scam overall since all they need is 20 or so people constantly working on cg trailers and fake gameplay videos to impress the public and then run off with the money when everyone realizes there is no game present. I’m willing to believe a lot of things about the game currently but it being a scam is kind of a stretch when my nigerian uncle is able to come up with more efficient, successful, and less risky scams than this

My only take: how can you have a city with so much character yet be so lifeless as the same time? The game is for all intents and purposes is a Deus Ex type game with a VERY increased scale, and the problem is that they also scaled up things that wouldn't work with having an entire city to play around with. Everything is too static, too directed. The random firefights you see happen on the same spots, some of the crime scenes you pass by early on in the game either never leave, or keep coming back exactly the same. Too much implied lore rather than letting you get first hand in experiencing it. The technical issues can be fixed, I dunno if the lifelessness can (because they have to add and redo A LOT of things).

They clearly had to switch gears somewhere during the development. And the end result is not the game they set out to make, because for whatever reason, they couldnt make the game they wanted. I think they focused on the right things to finish this game. Its just sad that we have so many examples ingame and out of game that it was meant to be a lot more. Thing is i think a lot of the issues can be fixed with additional content. All they really need to do is change up a bunch of the static events and add more things that dont seem scripted. Right now the only reason to play are the quests and the feel of the world. And as long as you progress from quest to quest without looking at the non quest world too closely, the game feels amazing Its just ruined when i bump into an NPC and everyone around acts like i detonated a bomb. Or going somewhere that has a ton of stuff that looks like i should be able to interact with it, but cant. But then i leave and im back to being immersed. Its such a conflicting game. Parts of it are 10/10 material and others are barely average. Im pretty sure its still going to end up being one of my favorite games ever, but it needs extra polish, a lot of it.

The best glitch I think I've had to find: before you bust Lizzy's boyfriend cheating on her quest, throw a grenade next to the bouncer before the quest starts at the club. It doesn't matter which grenade it is. All the NPCs will panic and the bouncer will activate the door. Run inside the club while the door is open. Make sure you save before doing this because you'll be stuck in the club forever. Well while you're inside the club everybody's t-posed. And there's music.. *T-pose rave*
