Yes, something that I found rather lacking in the main game was characters with anything more than superficial depth. I found most of the characters were kinda just exposition dumps. And I know, obviously, that's what all characters do in games etc to a point, but I found it wasn't always done in the most natural way. This scene felt really good though, it actually pulled me in!

Aurore and Aymeric where pro criminals hackers, so they had it coming, no one is untouchable in cyberpunk. But there death was brutal and cold blooded, they didn't have time to puzzle what was happening neither the chance to fight back. And boom, straight but executed, not even a chance to react. Aurore was a baddie from the very start and a baddie till the very end.

I played my most recent V as a consummate merc. More honor than morals, so to speak. Would have been down for the plan to kill them if Reed had mentioned it. But to just assume that I'd understand that offing them was part of it? Reed's lack of inclusion of V sealed it. V had to betray him if only because Reed is wildly overconfident in his abilities and more than willing to leave the more competent V in the dark.
