Cyberpunk: Edgerunners (Japanese: サイバーパンク エッジランナーズ, Hepburn: Saibāpanku Ejjirannāzu) is a 2022 Polish-Japanese cyberpunk web anime series based on the video game Cyberpunk 2077 by CD Projekt Red.[1] The series was animated by Studio Trigger under the supervision of CD Projekt and premiered on Netflix in September 2022.[2] Set in the Cyberpunk universe created by Mike Pondsmith, the anime serves as a prequel to the game and takes place about a year before the events of Cyberpunk 2077.

I've had this song on loop, just simply because as a black kid who used to live in the hood, this track and the anime as a whole, struck a chord with me. Still didn't peep the "pray to god that I dont get what I deserve cause I earned it" till I saw Darnell Bradley's breakdown. It hit so much harder specifically because i could directly relate to it. Darnell said it, but I gotta give yall the hood translation(no synsei). That bar had me lookin' like the animators cause it completely folded me. I HAD to run it back... cause it was a quotable!
