The only downside of riding to Topsham is some of the people who live there. Dogs off the lead on roads and shared pathways abound, usually sparwling across the entire width of the road making it difficult to pass.

Hiya, do you think this ride is suitable for young riders? I'm worried about busy roads with heavy traffic. Many thanks

There are a lot of families with youngsters on this trail - some even so young they use balance bikes. The trail proper starts at the railway station or you can just cycle the promenade at Exmouth - the half-mile bit between these two may need some care.
