I had the 32cc Model in 1953 I had the wheel fitted to my Phillips sports bike when I was 16 years old, the throttle lever was replaced with a twist grip same as a motorcycle and it was much better. Registration was WTW 114, sold it in 1955 because I had to do my National Service in the Army. What a great means of transport I used get 30/35 MPH out of mine. Cost new £28.

I found a 25cc Cyclemaster on a Council Tip in 1963. Throttle and Clutch Cables were all still attached. Back then, I had the (heavy) Rudge Police - Style Pedal Cycle. It was an easy job to remove the rear wheel - and simply fit this. At 13 years old, I had a great machine! I used to pedal the Bike on the streets (back then), with the Clutch Lever locked back. When nobody was around, I released the Clutch Lever, and the engine fired-up immediately! The best part of all, there wasn't a single fault with it! The paintwork was immaculate, all original (black) with some red coach striping. The 32cc model had a Lighting Coil. Cannot remember what happened to it, but it was a whole lot of fun.

Only just found out that this existed yesterday?! Looking at a guys motorcycle and he has this just casually sitting in his shed! Awesome bit of history and nostalgia. Must’ve been crazy to see this after the war🥰

25 pounds in those days (about 250 dollars today) for a mechanical wheel was bit much when you consider you still have to buy the bike itself as well and then install it and you are not getting turn signals nor speedometer nor lights etc All this considered I would have bought one as I am a sucker for cool oddity stuff like this.

Pretty much everyone was assumed to have access to a suitable bicycle. Though having said that you could buy specialist bicycles with reinforced frames for cycle masters or in fact any of the cycle motor is produced during this period.
