@@jessfortescue Once in a life time. Maybe twice in a life time. I plan to start from Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan, through the Pamir Highway to Uzbekistan, Iran than back home to Holland next year. If the circumstances allow. At this moment Pamir Highway in Tajikistan is closed for foreigner. Since a protest in last year November. The Tajiks government has locked down the autonomous region GBAO(where Pamir highway locates). Internet connection has been shut as well. Plus the border disputes between Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan means the land border isn't always open.

@@jessfortescue Thanx. Plan was indeed to go the other way around (Osh - Dushanbe) but through Wakhan Corridor and not Shahdara valley as I did last time. Current situation however is not good (border with Kyrgyzstan is closed, GBAO is also not allowed for tourists at the moment). I am kind of leaning now into doing some trekking in Northern Tajikistan (Fann Mountains) this summer.
