Nice builds... replacing the plastic covers on the engine with ones hammered in brass or copper would add to it. Some vent slits in them and stuff.

I Googled the barber Warnock and the body doesn't look a whole lot wider than yours! Amazing they went those speeds with their upper out of the car...

saw a Cyclekart Race vid before your vid. It was real neat. I wondered about the motors, Was there different class's or is there restrictions for motor and gearing? Does the engine have to be in the rear? These are reminiscent of the old indy day racers. I hope this sport grows
@stevevinson60304 жыл бұрын
The rules are pretty simple, Honda GX200 and or Predator 212, some guys run them stock, some remove the governors and do a stage 1 or stage 2 hop up. Basically a slightly bigger carb and a timing key and header. High level tuning is discouraged, this is supposed to be fun and inexpensive. Gentlemen Racing, we don't care who wins, there are no trophies for being first. It is actually more likely that you will get a trophy for waiving a faster kart by. Most karts have the motor in the rear, however, I know of two that have the motors mounted in the front, both are fairly complex builds. Thanks for watching

Sorry for the slow reply. I have bought my springs from two places. Vintage Kart Co in Arizona and Engels Coach Shop.

I would love to get into this amazing Motorsport but I would need a step-by-step video lol and I can’t find a step-by-step video on how to build one anywhere. If anyone has any information that would be useful to someone who is getting into this sport I would appreciate if y’all would share it.

I have several build series on my channel that walk you through all the steps. Subscribe and you can see the Model T, the Duesenberg and the Aston Martin series.

Add weight to the front and it should make it ride better and steer better as well... Just a thought...

Hi! I am very interested in this topic, but in my country there is no information for a novice builder of such a car. Can you tell me where to find it? Your car is beautiful) Have a nice day, Sergey

I am not sure of your country, but there is a least one guy in Russia that is building a cyclekart.

I noticed the Honda engine and the Japanese kill flags on the side of it. :) Is that how many engines it's toasted?
@stevevinson6030 Жыл бұрын
Ha ha. No the Jap flags are just for fun to give it a bit of historical whimsy.

I might have a common question but why do cycle karts not have rear suspension?
@stevevinson60304 жыл бұрын
Rear suspension has been done an a few karts. It adds quite a bit of complexity and cost. In my experience it really isn't needed. If you want to build it with rear suspension, go for it.

I couldn't make out what type of spindles they are could you please clarify?
@stevevinson60306 жыл бұрын
The red kart has Vintage Kart Co 3/4" reproductions of the Azusa spindles. The grey kart has 5/8" spindles also from Vintage Kart Co. I have a video that discusses the 3/4" VKC spindle. I hope that helps.
