PERFECTLY SAID. I don't even notice the formula. I am a guitarist and I seem to notice that all of these 'generic breakdowns' as they call them, might have the same notes, but of course, and really different rhytmically that changes the song so much.

lexa8412 Yeah I agree - loads of bands have 000-0-00-00-0-0 breakdowns, but the ability of a guitarist to take that breakdown and make it unique is where the skill lies. For example, Veil of Maya or Vildhjarta have many of these types of breakdowns but the songs don't sound generic at all.
