Nun was ist langsweilig.

This brought back memories...I cycled through all of SE Asia and up through China to Tibet...before cell phones or any of this communication. I took no pictures...I was just living in the moment...but some of these scenes I recognize. I had some amazing interactions with people as I was there shortly after it had opened up to visitors. Kids would run out of schools to see me, and other beautiful interactions. I might have been one of the first Westerners to cycle through Cambodia after the the Khmer Rouge.

Hello Louisa & Tobi Thank you for this beautiful and informative video. Somehow I thought the people in the East weren't as bloodthirsty as us and it had something to do with their faith and that they eat a lot of fish... But it was nothing In many cycling tour videos you can see that you often have to ride on busy roads. I wouldn't be in the mood for something like that. I'd rather continue driving along my dirt roads here. But the route through northern Cambodia...that would really excite me. Thank you & best regards Bernard

A fascinating country which I was fortunate to visit. Friendly people with a tragic past. 21% of the population (Men, women, children and babies) were either murdered in a most grotesque and brutal way, others were starved to death by the Khmer Rouge. Children were armed and used by the Khmer Communists to murder at will....not called the "killing fields" for nothing.
