Wonderful video. My wife and myself did the Romantic Road in 2016 , Wurzbug to Fussen by Bike. We were in our early 50s. Everyone who likes slow travel should do this trip. The Germans segregate your bicycle travel from other traffic as best as can be. Stay extra nights in Wurzburg, Rotenburg, and Fussen as a minimum . I hiked the Romantic Road in 2023 and can really recommend it! (Well, large parts of it at least, I skipped Tauberbischofshofen and went to Creglingen via Ochsenfurt, also a nice old city, and left it in Augsburg to go to Garmisch via the pilgrimage route Via Romea). Hiking takes longer but each to their own, I guess. I loved the old cities and small villages, the Bavarian landscape and the whole experience. Btw, just before I came to Rothenburg odT, I passed the little village of Archshofen, founded A.D. 807. I passed several places from before A.D. 1000 on my hike through Germany. Btw, it is not Donau you see in Landsberg, but rather the river Lech which flows north through Augsburg too.

Great video and the trip sounds wonderful!!! We’ve driven the Romantic Road a few years back and your biking adventure has rekindled a bucket list item. Not to be rude, but what was your group’s age range when you did this ride? We’ll be mid/late 60s when we plan to do this to celebrate my retirement! Thanks
