CYCLING IN DESARU PART 2: THE PERFECT WEEKEND CYCLING ADVENTURE (SO FAR)

This is the second episode in a two-part series of our weekend cycling trip to Desaru, Malaysia. In this episode, we explore the coastal route and look for some beaches. We found some of the smoothest roads we have ever experienced. The weather was kind to us that day and so were the people. We had a lot of fun that day and it was possibly the best weekend cycling adventure out of Singapore that we've had in a long time. All of us agree that just across the strait, there is so much more to see and explore. Here's to more cycling adventures in Malaysia!

Btw what’s stopping you from getting a TCR? 😅 I have one and wonder what’s a good set of wheels to replace the slr 1 it comes with. Would you pleased to hear your experienced advice:) cheers Sk

Space and the lack of a good deal. I wouldn’t buy brand new because I don’t want the SLR1 and don’t like the Giant proprietary components. Part of the reason why I like TCR apart from quality is value-for-money. But far haven’t found any one selling for cheap, I’m still waiting for a good deal to come by. I think I would replace the SLR1 with Zipp 303s based on price, weight and tubeless considerations. What wheelset were you considering?

@@sktang7145 I see. I own the Enve SES 4.5AR discs and I love them. I have no experience with Zipps so cannot comment. If you're riding at 63, all the more you should buy whatever makes you happy and want to get out to ride in the morning!
