Thanks for watching, commenting and subscribing. Glad you enjoyed the video and the joke...😂 I really like the look of a Brompton, I might get one myself, easier when getting the train with a bike.

@@davidbenson735 That's exactly why I bought mine. The folding is fantastic and makes it so manageable to go on buses or trains without booking. Surprisingly it's lovely to ride too though the tyre pressures are enormous. I have the 6 gear version though the 2 gear levers: one 3 gear Sturmey Archer and one +/- on the other handlebar take some getting used to. I've also dropped the front chainring from 50T to 40T as it's originally designed for London commuting and I live on the edge of the Pennines .......lots of hills!!! The first video of yours I watched was the Way of the Roses .......and I am sorely tempted with some wild camping thrown in.

Yeah, sometimes it can be a real pain getting on and off a train with a full size touring bike, not to mention the hassle in having to book the bike on the journey. I have been watching videos by Susanna Thornton going all over the country on her Brompton, very inspiring. I can thoroughly recommend the Way of the Roses route. Happy cycling...🚴‍♀️

@@davidbenson735 I agree as far as cycle touring on a Brompton goes she is very inspiring. I have yet to take mine on a train. I had planned to do Way of the Roses just next week with a degree of trepidation and even already bought the train tickets Sadly my partner had an accident last weekend so I shall now have to put it back to next year. On the positive side it'll give me time to try taking it on a train, do a few longer rides and some overnight/cycling trips.

That was a nice relaxing video to watch. I'm hoping to cycle in the Dales in the future, Five-foot Lyth gave me the inspiration & this video has re-inforced it, thank you. Regarding cramp in a narrow sleeping bag, I've had that after walking. I see some lightweight campers are using down quilts instead of a bag (with a good mat). Maybe that would be a good option for you? Paul Messner has discussed bags vs quilts a lot on his channel.

Thanks for watching and commenting Duncan, I'm glad you enjoyed the video. And thanks also for the advice about using a quilt, I could try that if the cramp keeps giving me problems. I hope you manage to do some cycling in the Yorkshire Dales, it's a great place and often referred to as "cycling heaven". All the best...🚲

What a lovely part of the world, no wonder so many people flock there. Unless you've had crap you've no idea how painful it is. When I get a spell of them I move into the spare room, at least I can hop around the room without being asked ' what are you up to ?'. Thanks for sharing your rides.

@@davidbenson735 you could even combine 8 & 9 for a longer ride, turn right at Ribblehead instead of left and then pick up the anti clockwise route to Dent and back to Ingleton (so opposite way to what you did). Reckon that’s about just over 40 miles in total. If you’re in Ingleton again, we had breakfast in the cafe above Inglesport (which is where I purchased the book). The breakfast was superb!
