Belen, thank you for sharing again your artistry/photography/soul and this amazing example of what bikepacking with a treasured friend can bring when both support each other to enjoy the journey itself and the connection rather than the destination. Love the intimacy of this deepening friendship and the spirit of adventure. Guess what? You now have PROVED that you are an expert at repairing flats! I love that Sanne's loving acceptance of what the adventure brings also supported you and the spirit of adventure. Although I have been loving your videos for quite a while, I'm happy that Russ Rocca from The Path Less Pedaled gave you a shout out on his channel so that more kindred spirits can enjoy these amazing breathtaking videos. I've bookmarked this one for friends. Roll on!

Slime inner tubes are useful too, you have inner tubes filled with sealant for when punctures might happen, at least little ones and the green slime shows where the punctures are if it cant cope on its own.

I mean... Distance is important if you are in a tight situation (like running out of food or water, or being chased by a storm). But otherwise... I'd rather travel without the pressure of having to hit a goal! Belle, going tubeless is an option, but you'll make your bike (and yourself) dirty with the sealant from the tire if the thorn punctures are so frequent, beides, there's a possibility you might run out of the sealant in such conditions. I'd recommend keeping the tubes and getting puncture protection tyres. I'v had them for some years now, and have forgotten what it means to have a flat tyre. They're a bit heavier and slightly more expensive but really worth it. Best wishes!

Hi Belén, super nice video about frienship, cycling, adventure and nature to watch. The mix between the static camera shots and action shots worked really well too! Very nice to watch! I love the way you and Tristan cycle and make video, very informative too. Thank you! Greetings from Ralf, we bumped into each other in France in Langres this summer. Got a really nice picture with you and Tristan 😊

Thank you! I'm experimenting with the action camera-not always convinced with it as the quality of the image is way lower but I like the different perspectives it provides. Riding with the mirrorless means shaky footage, so the action camera is perfect for this. Greetings back from Spain! We remember our little Eurovelo ride this summer very fondly. =)
@ridingsolo33525 күн бұрын
@ Both cameras blended seamlessly into each other, very nice dynamic. The action camera is really into the moment. And with the quality of the mirrorless is like we are there with you. One can buy tubes that allow for sealant to be injected into them. Sealants can easily handle those small punchers. Just try to remove the seed that caused the hole.
@BelleToscan13 күн бұрын
Oh really? I was planning to just go tubeless on the next one. Unless you have a dramatic cut on the tire, it seems relatively easy to fix (if the sealant doesn't do it on its own).

It's really beautiful video, very well made and great storytelling! Respect on doing that. Long dream of mine to do it as well on Sardinia. What was your route? I was also curious if shepherd's dogs are always that friendly or what were your strategy around them, or in general around animals in the wild?
@BelleToscan11 күн бұрын
Sardinia is a wonderful island to cycle both inland and by the coastline, though it depends on what style you like most as the coastline is very limited to trails or asphalt. I haven't published the route as it wasn't anything official, we improvised our way around. The dogs are no problem at all there. They were all friendly and just wanted to say hello, so we always stopped to greet them. As soon as they identify you as a human, it's all OK. =)
@dimidukes9 күн бұрын
@@BelleToscan That's really good to know. I think as well, on Sardinia the area, I think, where you have been in Ogliastra, and West Coast are one of the best areas for cycling, not a lot of cars. I need to overcome my fear of animals, and do that one day, or do it with a friend :-) Thank you.

As a photographer I wanted to compliment you on the composition of your shots, they were all really good and I cannot imagine how much work it took to set up the tripod and camera and take it down after biking past it, especially that bridge shot. Can you share what kind of camera, lenses and tripod you used? I saw an action camera but I am assuming the rest of the shots were a dslr or mirrorless?
@BelleToscan7 күн бұрын
Hello! Indeed, it's quite the job to shoot-well spotted the bridge section! We were lucky to get that section without cars! You also need some good trust to leave the camera hanging around on its own for such a long time. I use a Sony a7iv with a 24-70mm f2.8 Sony Lens. Perfect all around travel camera for me, including photography. The action camera is the DJI Action 4. =)
