I just looked up Poseidon bikes, I was so surprised at how affordable they are! Did you order it, or is there a local shop in SA that sells them? I’m from the valley and have been wanting a gravel bike since we have hundreds of miles of gravel around here. Was really wanting a trek checkpoint; but the the Poseidon looks like it offers as many mounting points on the bike.

Sorry for the late response, you have to order the Poseidon. They don’t sell them at bike stores, only online. It’s a good bike though and has held up just fine.

Going to visit my daughter and her family in San Antonio next month. Any other places to ride there?
@cyclingtexas16707 ай бұрын
For Trails, the Riverwalk, Leon/Salado Creek Greenways are probably your best bet for first time. If you want to road ride probably somewhere on the north side like Babcock and Scenic Loop. If you can make it out to New Braunfels, River Road is a great place to Road Ride

@@cyclingtexas1670 Thanks, my daughter lives near New Braunfels and her husband is an officer for that city. I will check it out.

Where did you start and where did you finish? Where is the trailhead to park your car?
@cyclingtexas16703 жыл бұрын
This is the Salado Creek Greenway, there are many trailheads so it depends on where you want to start or what is closer to your house. I started at Southside Lions Park

@@cyclingtexas1670 Yeah I wanted to start at lions park also. Today I rode from Rittiman road to mcallister park and back. If you start at lions where does it go going north?

@@keithbronson9777 I love the section from Rittiman to McAllister!! The southern section looks very similar. It is a separate trail and it runs for about 8 miles. There’s no significant point of interest along it but it is very pretty and full of trees for a peaceful ride.

Have the flat-bar X It’s an awesome bike for the money

Heck yeah! I’ve put 1,300 miles on mine so far in all weather conditions, rain, snow, ice, sunshine, you name it. It’s a good bike for the money.

@@cyclingtexas1670 Same here lol, and I love people's reactions when I pass them up on their $2,000+ road/gravel bikes. Expensive bikes don't mean anything if you aren't doing it professionally and competing, in my opinion. I have set some KOM records on Strava with people who have expensive bikes.
