0:14 almost the perfect part of the video “everybody just step inside” when you enter the bridge with your bicycle

This is incredibly helpful. Do you have one of the other direction?

I never filmed the other direction. But keep in mind that this video was filmed before they made some upgrades to the bike lane and it is now a little wider, especially around the signs that used to only have a couple of inches clearance from the handlebars. They now added extensions there to give it more space.

Is this a two way bike lane or is the south bound lane on the other side of the deck? Is it as narrow as it looks in the video? Because Holy crap, can opposing bikes even pass each other?

Ideally riders would use the northbound lane to go north and the southbound lane to go south, but most of the time one or the other side is closed due to maintenance and even when it isn't people don't really follow that standard. I've come around one of the support pylons going uphill only to have a rider heading toward me at over 30kmh which is pretty scary. Two bikes can pass each other, but just barely, as there are only inches to spare, and there are many parts where there isn't enough room for two. Fortunately, after this video was published, they spent a summer widening the parts of the lane by the signage support pillars as there was previously barely enough room for one bike. It's not too bad now, but you have to be careful.

October 12th saw a pretty major bicycle accident with 2 ambulances and fire trucks on scene. I was looking to see if there was any news of the cyclist(s) involved. Watching your video makes it seem like it would be a not so good outcome

Since this video was made, the space around the signage support posts has been widened so that you don't have those super narrow spots anymore. But it can still be hairy because riders go both directions on each side. Once I came around the blind corner at a pillar and someone was on the downward leg heading towards me at over 30kmh, completely oblivious to people that might be coming up. Missed me by inches. So yeah, it could be pretty ugly. Hope the cyclist in the incident you mentioned is on the mend.

LOL! This was filmed a couple years ago. They have since widened the areas around the posts so there is more clearance. Still narrow compared to more modern bridges, but a lot more comfortable to ride than it used to be.
