Your videos are great! I was in GC last week and spent six days on the bike. We did Serenity, Soria, Pico, etc. But we were staying in Maspalomas without vehicular support so VOTT was a bit out of the way, especially when the GC-500 coast road is closed east of Puerto de Mogán, forcing a ferry ride to there from Puerto Rico. But your ride report has convinced me to stay in the west of the island next time. Thanks.

Very impressive and stunning ride. I walked in the area only a few days ago, but not as high as that. Very remote and beautiful

I did it yesterday - started in Puerto Rico, Mogan, Aldea and then the 606 to Ayacata and back the 605 to Mogan and Puerto Rico. 30C, tough this Road - be careful with water!

@@BicycleBeyond think Valley of tears is good to prepare for Ötztalmarathon in Austria (240/5500) 28. of August.

Hello. May I ask something? Maybe it is stupi. How do you go from island to island. Example. From Grand Canaria to Tenerife?
@BicycleBeyond3 жыл бұрын
No worries. There is a regular ferry service. Also flying with Binter Canárias is an option. Cheers Ingo

I did it once and ran out of Water!!! What gears/ratio did you have on the rear?
@BicycleBeyond4 жыл бұрын
Ouch Alan! I did it on a unicycle!! Joking, at the back I had a 32 and it was fine. Front compact.

Seems like it's better to do reverse loop and do the Valley of tears downhill
@BicycleBeyond4 жыл бұрын
Hi Cristian, go for it. Just take off early and fill up the water bottles in Aldea de San NIcolas. If you do VOTT in reverse, you might need a new set of brakes!! Cheers Ingo
