১২০ কিমি বেগে আছড়ে পড়ল শক্তিশালী ঘূর্ণিঝড় 'দানা'। রাত ১১.৩০ নাগাদ ওড়িশার ধামারার কাছে ল্যান্ডফল। প্রবল ঝড়ের সঙ্গে চলছে তুমুল বৃষ্টি। ভাঙল গাছ, উড়ল টিনের চাল। দানার দাপট বাংলাতেও। পূর্ব মেদিনীপুরেও বহু জায়গায় ভাঙল গাছ। জলোচ্ছ্বাসে মন্দারমণির নিচু জমিতে ঢুকল নোনা জল। ঝড়ের দাপট বকখালিতেও। নবান্ন থেকে পুরসভা-লালবাজারে কন্ট্রোলরুম। রাতভর নবান্নেই মুখ্যমন্ত্রী। পুরসভা থেকে নজরদারিতে মেয়র। রাতে বিদ্যুৎভবনেই অরূপ বিশ্বাস।
