A new tropical cyclone could be forming near Grand Terre in the Seychelles, and will head towards the Comoros islands and then onto the east coast of Tanzania in a somewhat rare late-season formation. The potential cyclone is expected to reach winds of around 50 miles per hour when it approaches Grand Comore later this week, and is likely to deliver storm force winds to the island, which is the most populated of the Comoros. The storm will then start weakening as it turns towards Tanzania, limping inland as a weak cyclone.
The system is still strugging to acquire a circulation, and convection is fairly weak at the moment, and so this storm's formation is not guaranteed yet.
Elsewhere, no areas of interest are expected in the next five days, but several areas are starting to appear on the longer range models.
