Is lezyne day light flashing really noticeable in harsh sunlight conditions?
@bikestrikesrazors3 жыл бұрын
Hi, Agesh! It's OK, but for really bright daytime flashing I'd look at the Cygolite Hotshot Pro line. That's what I'm using (the 200) for daytime riding now. Thanks for watching!
@chrisprieto120007 ай бұрын
I would agree with your assessment. If the Lezyne was used for vision, then the throw of the light would come into play. Filling a room with light is great and all, but that’s not the purpose of a tail light. The cygolight does a much better job of gaining attention of drivers with its intense flashing.
@bikestrikesrazors7 ай бұрын
Yes, I agree. The cygolight is a much better attention grabber. Thanks for watching!

why not both? The Cygolite attached to the seatpost and the Lezyne to the non drive side seat stay? That way you have the best of both, for pure brightness the Cygolite and for lateral visibility the Lezyne. I have an older Cygolite Hotshot 100 and a Moon Cerberus that has 2 side strip LED's which enhances the lateral visibility. The Hotshot is attached to the seat post and the Moon is attached to my non drive side seat stay. Impossible not to be seen, day or night.

Wow, great tech breakdown of those two lights thanks !!! I just want a light that is as bright as my night lights, but in the day. Is that too much to ask ? 😁🚴Then I would turn it down at night of course. Or a light that says I am carrying a bomb car stay the f&*k away from me. 💣

I've had folks pull up next to me in a car and comment on how bright the Hotshot is, so it must be pretty bright in the daytime! :)

i got one of these and it won’t turn off when i press the power button it just cycles through the modes.

Try holding the power button down. See if that shuts it off.

What mounting do you recommend for a round seat post? Which do you think is safer? Flexible or rigid?
@bikestrikesrazors3 жыл бұрын
Hey, Two Six! I've always just used the flexible band as I swap my lights between several bikes, but if you're using one light on one bike, I'd think the rigid mount would likely be more secure. That being said, I've never had the band come undone on me. Thanks for watching!

Which one do you recommend the most for going out at night?
@bikestrikesrazors3 жыл бұрын
For daytime use, I’d recommend the Cygolite as it’s clearly brighter. For nighttime use, both would be very bright, but I guess I’d still go with the Cygolite, as brighter is usually better. You might actually have to use a less bright setting at night so it’s not too blinding.

@@bikestrikesrazors I currently have 2 Magicshine Seemee200 and Seemee 180 taillights,i'm very satisfied and works very well. In my opinion, I feel that 11 modes is too much (Lezyne) with 5 or 6 I think that would be more than enough. I like the modes of the Cygolite, and from what I have seen it has good battery life, but I still have a question, how do I use the button on the right side?
@bikestrikesrazors3 жыл бұрын
The button on the left side turns the unit on, and if you keep pressing it, scrolls through the flash settings. The button on the right changes the speed of the flash, faster or slower. If you press it and hold it, it will move the flash speed in one direction. If you release it and then press and hold again, it will move the speed in the other direction. Hope that helps!
@twosix_003 жыл бұрын
@@bikestrikesrazors For example, in triple flash mode to reach 75h duration, do I have to press and hold the button on the right side? Or did you only press it once?
@bikestrikesrazors3 жыл бұрын
If you press it and hold it, you’ll see the speed of the flash going up or down. If it’s going in the direction you want, just keep holding it down until it reaches your desired speed. If it’s moving in the wrong direction, let go and press and hold again and the speed will continually move in the other direction. To get something like a 75 hour duration I think you’re gonna have to really slow down the flash rate.

@bikestrikesrazors3 жыл бұрын
That’s true! I’ve never had the batteries ever “run to empty” on either of these. I should’ve done a time test to see how long they lasted and which one lasted longer.
