Playing with and understanding the surface areas and volumes of different geometric shapes is fascinating. You may often be surprised with what you discover! In this TACtivity, we take a paper sheet/cardboard of a particular size and roll it into a cylinder along both dimensions and compare their volumes. We then cut the sheet and make more cylinders. How do the volumes compare? We also make a right circular cone and compare its volume with the cylinder's volume.
