Those aren't boost ports, they are Boyesen ports, actually "supplemental passages". In 1985 - 86 lawsuit Honda finally admitted they might not have invented them so took out licensing for unlimited use of them, along with settlement for using them in 1978 CRs and later bikes.

Krylon industrial on this engine. It doesn't hold up that good but it sprays on very good.
