Cylinder Optical Illusion - Adobe Illustrator Tutorial

Learn how to make this hollow cylinder optical illusion with Adobe Illustrator. We're going to make a cylinder look like it's only composed of striped lines and learn how to use symbols and the revolve tool.
It's rather similar to the donut optical illusion and if you complete this shape and the donut, you'll be a master at these optical illusions!

Very good. You've provided me with the answers to my search, thank you. However...... there's just one little thing to be improved upon. If you had've removed the two small downward pointing corners from the top internal ring, and the part from the second internal ring that should also be hidden from view, you would've created the impression of white ring on the top surface edge better. Anyway, you're still far better than me, and I'm going to try this myself now. Cheers.
