She is a miracle! Who in the world can do that with their voice? In 300 years, every girl in the universe will still be singing this song. She went on to sing so many hits with her unique voice and style. Listen to 'Time After Time' and 'True Colors' and on and on. I saw her in concert 3 times and she can rock the frickin house! She is one for the ages!

This song is eternally stuck in my head. I'm pushing 50 now and ever since this song came out, in my occupation, grocery/retail, there is always music playing and I've had to hear this song at least once a day, every day since I've been a working man at the age of 16 in the late 80's; thing is that I'm not sick of at after all these years.

Cyndi's great. She's got an incredible voice and so many hits in the 80s. I always loved how she was willing to have fun with everything and never took her self too seriously. She'd appear on the WWF a number of times. Who else would do that back then in her position?? She's a ton of fun. And while I'm not a big fashion guy, the fact that 40 years later there's a bunch of girls walking around looking like Cyndi, probably without even realizing it, is something pretty special.

You guys should be grateful that "Girls just wanna have fun." All it took was one viewing and we all fell for Cyndi. I was 29 when this was released. Music like this helped me get through a 5-year battle with Hodgkin's lymphoma. "It's My Life" by Talk Talk (1984) is another booster shot that, even now at 68, still gives me joy, hope and strength. PS: My family calls you three "The Bopping Heads," a name that stuck immediately. Keep going...you're doing good!!

I knew the fact about her vocal being damaged harshly and a professional vocal teacher helped her to recover it, so I was wondering if Ryan is going to mention it. So great that your channel focuses on those little details as it makes it so valuable to the music. Not a fan of Lauper but I respect her.

I am a 70s Hard Rock guy if you do not understand how good this woman is, (I hate Madonna, but this was my scratch). She sang with the Blue Angels (I'm Gonna be Strong) before this, she has more range than most people understand, they get caught up in this song and never listen to her range in other songs. She is very very talented, my niche is Heavy Metal, but this woman is damned good, try her other songs, True Colors, Money Changes Everything, Time After Time, All through the Night, or When you were Mine or the one mentioned with the Blue Angels.
