This of course isn't the case for all purchases, but if we assume everyone paid $49.99 for the epic quest, Netmarble has already made $28,904.38 in the first two days of release. I don't know if this is fast or slow, but we can see that the pack is selling. Get ready for the new normal, folks.

Absolutely a slap in the face of those who actually care about this game and are mid tier spenders. Ontop of everything the rewards for the deluxe missions are Phoenix Feathers and Mkraan Crystals?? What kind of joke is that?! No artifact nor T4 materials. I bought 15k crystals during Black Friday and the upgraded year long Stark Chest thing. Off topic, but has anyone else noticed a change in Sharon Rogers gameplay? I haven't changed anything (in terms of swords, cards, or character build), however she seems to be hitting with less of a punch (at least in WB Legend) since the update. If you don't plan on getting Madelyn, then absolutely not. Rachel's only use is being needed to unlock Madelyn. But then you also need to get the deluxe epic quest to unlock Hope. That's a ton of crystals/money for one character who may or may not be meta. I would definitely hold off.

@@jpjusthere I'm well aware that's one way to play. There are competitive modes that plenty of people do enjoy though. OB, TB, ABX, ABL, and even WBL climbing. Most players enjoy at least one of those if not more. So basing advice on just clearing stage one of WBL is pointless.

This update is tradh but characters are soo good even at 70 Hope summer in abx can score 2mil more then nebula and in abl she can score about the same as storm its insane she don't have a uniform even. And about the skill animations. I love it im mad because netmarble wasted these cool and good characters with a bad update and bad price

Rachel and Hope are the ones that would prevent me to get Madelyne at this time because first, I will not purchase Rachel as a crystal character and second, I will not buy the deluxe pack because I am saving my crystals for another bingo. I think that is more important than getting Madelyne. If she had the ignore targeting as a passive for all of her skills (that would make her beyond broken and that is the only thing I would spend that much for an epic quest) then maybe I will buy Rachel and Hope the first time the update landed.

I'm in the 2nd Timeline Battle rotation of the Epic today. Limit of 10 a day of course so ending right now at Runaway Bride. The goal here was starting fresh this year and seeing if and how this game can be completed without spending any money. It "can" btw but? It's the Deluxe of these Epics that are the problem which would take a person an insane amount of time to come up the Crystals (accounting for other Crystal costs) for that. Drops on Search were pretty good. I did that in maybe one additional 10x Dimension Mission Clear, so x40. Ally Shifter drops for Exodus x3 were also pretty regular, about seven plays with resets. *Edit: Wait. It's a roll over day so there's x2 x10 Timeline Battles today so I can have extended play albeit the energy and perhaps Gold to support a clear run. So notes at this stage of the Epic then. Research Antimatter costs are unusually high compared to most here. I had everything on hand going but still they are bilking us for more here as well as they are that Deluxe Cost. Cyclops bios? Which can be gained elsewhere? I don't understand it. They could picked any other mutant. Rachael. Or if they wanted to be cheap Nightcrawler then. Bishop, Angel, X-23. Anything would have worked here. Everything else thus far was consistent. Event Shop gains are crap. Both there are whoever's Rank Up Tickets I guess. Else I probably want to hear about Hope if you please. That's the one I'm seeing a lot of talk about. I tried them all in the Preview Mode and I wasn't seeing what was so great about her. And yeah, I tried Exodus (should unlock him by tomorrow then) and man it actually sucks that he is T2 because he is "almost" awesome. Just going to ticket Havok here btw, that's what I save those for anyways. No bother spending the Gold cost there, I could care less about the Books. To be honest that is another item I don't understand having issues saving up. I'm always maxed out on all of them whether I use them or not just from playing Daily World Boss. And then anyone can just spend those x10 Blast Books on that Mission that costs that much, I think it's one of the last Research.

What happened is I was a returning player who wanted to see how it held up. I was actually surprised to see the game was still up and running as I never hear about it which something bad for their own promotion of the game. When I logged in their was an error on Google Plays where I was a returning player but a new player at the same time (on Netmarbles side). So I lost everything except my player status and accumulated Crystals. I was going to just abandon it but I had reading tutorials and noticed that while they are all comprehensive, Wiki is really out of date though (Danger Room and such are still included there) all stated the "without spending money" course yet there was no way to follow these tutorials without buying everything outright. There is just no way could play and win this stuff no matter what version of the game. It got me curious if this game can be won, that is the levels completed, without spending money or if it's rigged. It is "partly" rigged what I determined. You look at Crystal requirements and how many you can earn without spending on things like costumes that you just think are neat. So that's between what you can win, like by levelling, daily payouts and extra dropped from events. In order to complete one must buy in the Deluxe packs of both and Legendary. There is an additional Crystal cost in the Fantastic 4 Epic where a player is forced to pay Crystal to Rank Up Notorious due a bug where she does not appear as an Ally Shifter. Then the required uniforms for Legendary. So by rigged I mean it would take years of your life logging in and playing modes daily here to even do it without paying real world money so you are forced in a sense to spend money and more money than one would pay on average for a video game. More than completing a coin-op arcade game for that matter. Mind you it is still a fun game and more a pretty one but that's just the math on this one. If you come to this and want to just free play know that you will not be able to do so unless you are willing to play for years AND not buy incentive uniforms and such, which I am buying them just for fun since I can do the math without saving.

Why would you release characters in 2024 as tier 2s? Why wouldn’t you make Madelyn a tier 4 character so new players who probably have little or no tier 4s something worth grinding for. Also why wouldn’t you at least put tier 4 materials in the epic quest for people to grind for. It all makes absolutely no sense
