He was not rich or famous then -- in fact, he couldn't even afford his own place! Yet Cynthia agreed to have his baby and marry him! They lived at his Aunt Mimi's place. Yoko only was interested in John once he became rich and famous. If he had been poor and obscure she never would have given him a second glance, nevermind marry him and have his baby like Cynthia did.

While John was busy talking about love and how it should be, your mum was living it by her actions and ethics. Anyone can "talk" about love. Very few actually choose that way of life. I always admired Cynthia Lennon. She was a beautiful lady and even though thru her pain she was very strong. And Julian Lennon was always by her side. I read Cynthia's books and felt sorry for her at times. I found it hard to understand why John treated her as he did, but yet she still loved him. I feel so sorry for Julian at this time. I hope I can pick up her books about John sometime. I also enjoy the story of when they were dating and how they met too. Cyn also reminds me of me sometimes as well. I had a relationship with a guy a few years ago and despite how the guy treated me at times, I still loved him. Kind of like how Cyn loved John and still cared for him even after the split and when John was with Yoko. But I like another guy right now.

Cynthia was the best! A talented, classy lady with a sterling character. She was gentle, loving, kind, and always kept a level head What a treasure! Julian's character does her proud. Julian has said that what hurts him that the world thinks his father was some kind of saint, while he and his mother had to bear the scars negligent John inflicted on them. Blindly praising John Lennon's character actually hurts Julian Lennon's sense of truth. Knowing that there are others who see the truth, that he and his mother were never alone with their pain, validates Julian's experience and lets him know that not everyone ignored what John did to Julian and his mother.

This is five years ago. I spent the last month listening to Cynthia’s book. Afterwards, I listened to interviews with both Cynthia and Julian. I was moved by the mother/son relationship. Weeks later, I find she has passed away. I pray Julian is comforted in his grief

Some of our parents copied the same stupid moves that John Lennon made- without the fame or fortune. :) I'm not wishing people to be with someone that's controversial? I think it's awkward, an imposition maybe. If I died, I wouldn't want someone to with me to be with a betrayer in Heaven. The two are photographed because they're parents. My deepest condolences to you, Julian. She was certainly a very beautiful person. I had the wonderful honour to meet Cynthia after my old band The Merrymakers (together with the School of Music in Piteå, Sweden) performed Sgt Pepper Live in Liverpool 1994. She was wonderfully kind and sweet and it became a memory for life for us. The love she left behind will carry on!

Can feel only Love when I hear this song by Cynthia Lennon's son, Julian. Am most grateful for two things: That his mother saw his first Photography exhibit; which speaks of his own talent and efforts. And that she told her own story in the book, "John", about her life when married to John Lennon and her life afterwards. BTW, a life that had many challenges; but it reveals the inner strength of a kind, intelligent woman.

Cynthia has always been a sweet, soft-spoken lady that I admired so much as I was growing up and then as an adult. I bet she was a terrific mother giving tender loving care to you. It shows in how well you handle yourself with such grace as a gentleman. ❤️

The connection we have with friends and relatives still remains even if they have left their bodies! I had many heartbreaking losses my self! But some day we will all find each other again!

@@rdlewis3616 I actually believe in psychosomatics which has strong impact on our physical health. A person who is in peace with himself can't die from such a disease like cancer. I think she bottled a lot of pain and stress from her previous life.

Julian this is a beautiful tribute to your mom, she is a kind gentle soul. I read her book several years ago and sorry for the pain she and you went through growing up. So good to see someone here 'l know' Heidi. Feeling quite shocked to realise this news just now, as l opened up YT, and saw Julian's new post. Such a beautifully, dignified, courageous lady, with a son of the same qualities. l'll have to try a get a copy of her book. Hoping Julian has a partner to support him in his grief.
