Cynthia's New Scrapbook Room

After all these years, I hope you are still enjoying your craft room. It is so beautiful and functional. I too went crazy when Michaels carried all the storage cubes. I probably have around 30 of them. Michaels has all but done away carrying them now. I'm SO glad I bought them way back when they had them. The coupons they use to have were awesome and with the 50 and 60% coupons was how I got most of cubes too.

Your room is truly inspiring. I am constantly changing up my area. I have a huge makeup room because I got all into doing makeup and beauty, and in my process I realized how much I love doing my crafts. I have taken a small area in the living room and converted it to my craft area. Once my husband and I get stationed in our new dutry station I am going to create a whole new crafting room for me, & I am so excited to have my hubby build me the many things your hubby built you. I have looked at your table and think it is brilliant. I do not have too much room in my craft room and your idea of having a a central base giving you room all round is just brilliant. I don't have a video of my room but am really pleased with what I've done. Got some really good ideas from your room as well. I can see ribbon rails and shelving over the window happening. Oh wow, what a beautiful and organized room! I love the wall color and the curtains, and your wall o' stamps is amazing! Looks better than the displays at the store! Cynthia - your room turned out great! What a lot of work you put into it. The end result is certainly worth all the hours you spent. Oh wow! Scrapbook heaven! I would so love that set up. It's beautiful. I have my scrapbooking space in my bedroom, that also has my office area. To just have a room only for scrapbooking would be a lovely dream come true.

I must have watched 25 craft room videos. YOURS is the best. I appreciate all the hard work and organization you put into your room, and that you let us in on what you used for storage solutions. Hello Vonnie: It is just recently that I have come to realize how very blessed we are to be crafters in America. My daughter is a student living in Italy and she is desperate for some crafting supplies, but they're not as common as here, where I have a Michael's, Joann's, and ACMoore within 10 minutes. However, I look at crafters in Australia and drool, so... :) We must enjoy where we are and what God has given each of us, and I do know I am greatly blessed!

Cynthia! You make me all excited! I have the exact size room and window! My craft room looked sooooo hoardy! I had zero Inspiration till I saw your video! I will do a before and after video. Anyways You are my Inspiration and I love your passion! You Inspired me to buy colored paint,wall murals, ribbon,the same curtains and cut and sew too! And I also went to Ikea! I took aweek off work and I am gonna organize my 15 years of accumillation and have a happy place too! Thank you for sharing!

I am really impressed with your room! I am right in the middle of planning a remodel and have bought the paint, curtains (very similar) and those great ikea bars. Give your husband an extra kiss for those of us who have great husbands who don't know how to build furniture,lol! I know that this is an older video, so I hope that your room still makes you as happy that it did when you first designed it!!

Oh my gravy!!! I LOVE your room!!! I'm so jelly! My room is under construction still--well, it's done I just need to put all my stuff back in it! BUT your room has reignited my motivation to do that--on my winter break from work!!! If I had an award most creative craft room I'd give it to you! It is a very happy room! Hope you have enjoyed it the past several years! I'm attempting to put a room together for my sewing, oil & watercolor paints & supplies PLUS I'm adding cardmaking, crafts for Art Fairs. I used to do them. But, took a break to care for my grandmother, then my mother. I moved so don't have scroll saw, acrylics, fabric paints (yeah! long time ago...lol). I'm getting a list of basic supplies. Biggest debate:: buy a circuit. OR brother scan & cut??? Looks like I'll be investing at least $1000 f up to $2000 for supllies, storage. You are very blessed to have a husband who builds to fit your needs exactly!! He's great at it, also... 9 yrs. later but your room is one of my favorites. P.S. I am using "ribbon for trim". Hello Stephanie! Thank you! I do love my room, and although there have been some minor changes, it is pretty much still like that four years later! My husband, honestly, is just good with his hands in general. The guy can build/fix practically anything. He is amazing, and what is so sweet is that he puts a lot of value to my craft. He loves that I am making these albums for our children, and I can't tell you how many times I have shown him a page and he will give accolades, or offer a suggestion for an embellishment ,or comment on how he loves that I chose a craft that leaves a legacy to our children. He is remarkable, and trust me, I thank God every day for him!!!! Best wishes and blessings to you too!

What a great room you have! You are so blessed to have such a handy man to help you out! I have been trying to get mine done since last Fall.. stopped over the Holidays then got sick and have not been able to get back to it! I have my art and craft supplies pulled out all over the house and then my art room has been turned upside down! Nothing is where it should be and I will be so happy to get things back into order! My room is small so I have to be creative on storage! I am about to have surgery on Monday and after I get well from that I hope I can get back into my room head on and start cleaning and organizing again! My goils for this year was to get my craft room done and to start making videos.. I started making the videos so now it's time to get my room done! I just wish my health was better so I would not tire out so easy! Then I could get things done a lot faster! I want to have a "Happy Room" too :)

I'm in Ireland too, lived in the USA for 20 years and what I miss most are the craft supply stores. However, I went to the Knit and Stitch at the RDS in Nov./Dec. and the UK suppliers there have lots and lots of stuff you can't get here. They do mail order too so you can get them to Ireland. Worth a visit to the next one.

Some of the jars are by Making Memories, who makes the cabinets, some of the jars are mason jars from Walmart, and the very small jars that you see at an angle with the lid facing forward are from Ikea! Walmart mason jars fit perfectly and were very inexpensive, and so were the Ikea jars!

@Lovbug98 Thanks for your kind words! The racks and the buckets came from Ikea. The each run about 2 bucks so for one entire racking system, it cost me about 16.00. I love them and they hold the punches beautifully! Happy Shopping!

Wow! I am bonkers over the rubber stamp shelves your husband made. They're absolutely beautiful. Arrgh, I hear everyone saying in their videos their husband built this, and their husband built that... I don't have a man in my life... :-( Well, if I did, he'd be pretty darn busy making things for my craft room, lol. @craftingmandyb Thank you so much for your kind words! My husband did do a couple of things in the room, like build out the closet, make the stamp racks and the ribbon rack, and build out the table. I did have fun doing the floor and the painting, but I have to say that putting those boxes together was NOT fun! LOL I do live in Florida, so a shed wouldn't work here (too much humidity could easily destroy the scrap items), but it sounds lovely! ENJOY!!!
