C'est vraiment rare d'entendre un pianiste jouer du Chopin à ce niveau avec une personnalité propre. C'est fantastique

Maestro Katsaris is really perfect in this sonata. Compare to other versions, it is really different including some inner voices. I hope Maestro Katsaris never get old and I can watch maestro’s performance in the future ❤😊

True mastery and virtuosism! Mr. Katsaris, I never heard about you until a while ago and I 'm wondering why! Your way of playing and interpreting the composer's intentions is remarkable and I think that your art is obvious in this recording of a masterpiece that is Chopin's 3rd sonata. A recording that I consider a masterpiece of herself. Everything is done correctly and NEVER overdone. You emphatised things that any other pianist did emphatise before, such as the inner voices, as someone suggested earlier in the comments. What you are doing is very important for the world and for the culture of the world itself and the passion that you put in your work is somehow something that you can breathe and touch. Please, never stop! Merci beaucoup!

This is what I’m saying!!! People need to open their eyes and wake up to what Katsaris has done here. This is a ‘god amongst men’ type of performance. No interpretation comes close and Katsaris is the greatest pianist alive, there is no doubt

He is particularly famous for his virtuosic and expressive performances of works by composers such as Franz Liszt, Chopin, and Beethoven. Katsaris is known for his ability to bring out the depth and emotional range of the music he plays, often incorporating improvisation into his interpretations.

Bravo maestro. I really hope you give us the entire cycle of piano sonatas of Franz Schubert due the fact his 200th anniversary pass in 2028. I really cannot think about other with the maturity and sense of the form as you have. This version is filled of subtlety , nitid phrasing and diamantine fingering.

If you can get a hold of the Educo Records performance of this piece by Drusilla Huffmaster, give it a listen. The other side of the platter is her Bach-Busoni Chaconne, which you would doubtless appreciate.

Why do you comment as though you don't really appreciate this artist's performance and ,instead prefer someone else's as though they are superior in some way.Show some respect please

A sense of fun that Chopin shared (his mimicry astounded Liszt) and a penchant for transcriptions and other out of the way scores has damaged Katsaris’s reputation with critics you’d do best to ignore. Instead, listen to this. Did Percy Grainger, Cortot, Lipatti or Rubinstein play this sonata with more lyricism, more color, more excitement and - dare I say it - more depth? Katsaris, like his idol, Cziffra, could dumbfound us, but we’d be dumb indeed to doubt they’re great musicians.
