I am a Greek Cypriot. Why is everyone fighting here?. both sides are you blame. Greeks refusal to acknowledge that's the Turkish Cypriots have right and Turkish refusal to adjust territory.

Osman Oglu you have to be honest too with yourselves. Cyprus was taken by the ottomans land settled with turks. I understand that both parties have committed crimes and should have worked together from day one. when you say "our territorry" you suggest the land belongs to the turks. in fact it does not. Greeks and Turkish Cypriots have to work together to move forward. turks have to adjust territory because 18% of pupulation cannot steal 33%. turks have to have this in mind.

looking at you would have to say the coup against makarios was not backed by the greek cypriots. the coup was orchestrated by the cia and turkey with the junta in greece. under the geneva agreement 1960 of independence uk greece or turkey could restore a proper government if anything like a coup arose. the turks had threatened 2 invade before. do you honestly believe greek cypriots would want to challenge a mighty turkey when they had paradise as their home and to leave it 2 become a living hell after the invasion. a plot in which the uk played its part in appeasing turkey while still keeping their bases for their own and usa interests un the region. a complete sham.

We saw that there was none protecting the Turkish Cypriots against atrocities on the island, except the Turkish Armed Forces. We wont leave the fate of the Turkish Cypriots in the hands of the Greek Cypriot army, the army that tried to wipe them off the island. The presence of the Turkish Army on the island is not the cause of this conflict but the result of the Greek coup to serve enosis.

Because the Greeks tried to supported a coup that would make Cyprus a part of Greece I don't know the ins and outs of it but it sounds like turkey isn't the only bad guy in this situation

Always "last chance last chance". Is the world made up of last chances...the world, borders, people and life always continue to change and progress! And, you are right. Well, at least some of the younger generations have grown further apart, no doubt due to be separated!! Dur.. And no thanks to the older generations who put them all in this position! How about some vision, strategy and planning for the future; to have them all (not just the two GC speaking and TC speaking, but all) grow closer together. Initiatives and activities and action. Some have for sure happened and it has for sure work. Just need more. And soon enough, problem solved.

All the world is watching the island crises between Turkey and Greece. Some years ago..Greece invaded 18 islands of Turkey. How they won't invade the Turkish side of Cyprus?? You can check old world maps.. and see the reality.. they belongs to Turkey officially!! From Lozan!! Anyone who doesn't believe about 18 islands issue pls it's easy to check it.. And now Greece flags and armies there.

Greece left Cyprus island to Venetians pirates in 1489 Venetians plundered and killed the people who made the pilgrimage to Mecca. After all assults of Venetians Ottomans conquered Cyprus 6 august in 1571. In 1878 UK rented the island from Ottomans. Britain thought it could cater to its own land. But in 1940 Greeks invade the Cyrpus after long time. In 1974 Turkey made an operation through the Turkish site of the island. It literaturelly called Peace Operaton. Because Greeks wanted to kill all Turks and had the island alone. A person looks back to the history may understand the truth about Cyprus. But Cyprus not the only island that invaded by Greeks.

The ancient times.. Hoho.. Than you will have this Cyprus now. You will kick all Turks there helping with EU and UK. Greece and Israil looks they have good company now. But I want remember to all Greeks and Turks the plans of Israil according to Old Testament. East of Turkey and Cyprus Island inside this plan already.
