TJ reminds me of myself. I too have a learning disability that makes me feel stupid and ashamed, especially if people find out. I often *not* understand what I read or hear, and need clarification. I have ASD. I always worry people will see me as dumb, or, to put it more nicely, think less of my cognition and intellect. After all, my "type" apparently defines "stupidity," as far as society is concerned. Maybe we _should_ (conditionally) keep our learning disabilities a secret, so certain people don't look down on us.
