Please... get real. Red Note is HEAVILY censored by the Chinese government! Is Red Note censored by the Chinese government? YES! RedNote, also known as Xiaohongshu in Chinese, is subject to government censorship similar to other social media platforms in China. The Chinese government enforces strict content moderation policies, and RedNote adheres to these regulations. This means that discussions on sensitive topics such as politics, religion, and certain social issues are often censored. For instance, the platform bans or limits posts about derogatory nicknames for Chinese leaders, labor strikes, and criticism of the Chinese Communist Party. However, the level of censorship on RedNote’s international version, which includes American users, has been less clear. Some American users have reported having their content removed or accounts suspended for posts that would be considered sensitive in China, such as mentioning LGBTQ+ topics or wearing revealing clothing. This suggests that RedNote applies some level of censorship to its international users as well, though it may not be as extensive as for its Chinese users. There are also reports that RedNote may be considering segregating American users from Chinese users to prevent American content from influencing Chinese users, indicating that the platform is taking steps to manage the content shared by its international user base.

Many years ago, a Slovenian newspaper published an interview with a Chinese intellectual. They pressured him over lack of democracy in China and he responded something like this: "If a government is elected, but acts against the interest of the people, why should you call it democratic? If a government that is not elected works in the interest of the people, why should you consider it undemocratic?"

So true. The US only uses the term democracy when they want to access to another countries resources, how they do it is they cause rebellion between the people of that country and the bam, when it happens the US moves with full.force and accomplish their goals and evil agenda. So glad the world is realizing nothing in the US is done with decency and honesty. The US is so use to living in a world of make belief but the the cat is out of the bag. Go China go!!!!!!!!

I would say that China is a more effective democracy than the United States. Why? Because a democracy as stated in American historical terms is Of the PEOPLE, By the PEOPLE, For the PEOPLE. And how do we measure this? 1. How happy are the people 2. How safe are the people 3. How do the people feel they are being treated by their government 4. How united are the people 5. How many wars are initiated by the government that the people do not approve of. 6. How financially secure are the people 7. How many people are imprisoned 8. How do the police interact with the people 9. What is the degree of discrimination and racism amongst the people 10. How is the healthcare for the people Etc.

Confucianism did not quite made it into a religion, and its philosophy is still very influential in China. Same as Confucianism, Islam, Taoism, and Christianity, original Buddhism was not a religion but a school of thought.

Hi Cyrus, I have recently started to educate myself on how China developed itself despite US world acting against them and I am so amazed shedding some of my misconceptions. Every country on this planet should learn from China what they have been able to achieve through their sheer resilience and commitment to excellence. The most surprising part was to see that China's stock market has gone nowhere in last 10 years yet China has grown and developed itself like no other nation. On the other hand, US is totally based on stock market and power of its USD being global reserve currency which it uses to control entire word and remain its slave. While Chinese youth focus on STEM eduction, US stem graduates are busy speculating in stock market bubble as their dream job is to get some fat package firm on Wall Street. All countries are at the moment slave to US through their digital infrastructure and continuously losing wealth to pay down US debt. I don't see world having a great future with the policies of US and especially under Trump who wants to use wand stick in the form of tariffs and destroy sovereignty of every nation. For example, I would put tariff on Canada if they don't want to become 51st state. Is it not imperialistic mindset. World needs China more than anytime in history today.

What goes around, comes around! The most devastating blows to the US didn't come neither from Russia, nor from China or other foreign country but came from the US itself! Like this ban on TikTok fired back, so fired back the ban on Huawei that forced the Chinese company to develop its own technologies and own chipsets, being now able to produce chipsets in 7nm, a technology that was the monopoly of TSMC until just a couple of years ago. The tariffs imposed by the US un Chinese goods just make those goods more expensive for the final consumer who bears most of the burden of the tariff. Moreover, they triggered a response from the Chinese government that restricted the exports to the US of strategic rare earth elements. The blockade US imposed on Russian money and assets only showed the whole world how US can weaponize its Dollars and whole banking system, prompting the world to seek alternatives and start the de-dollarization of the world economy, that will have a devastating effect on the US economy.

So, if you find out a long time later, when customers in Chinese restaurants praise the $20 dinner, the restaurant's recruitment advertisement may be a monthly salary of $400, 4 days off or even 2 days a month, unlimited working hours per day (usually more than 10 hours, less than 12 hours) and no tips.

I also welcomed them at the airports in the UK as they visited our business, this is where I learned more about our differences and how to make changes to our programs the make the visits more accommodating. The Chinese people are very friendly and welcoming, will do anything they can to improve your visit/stay. While they didn’t have what the west had back in the 80’s I truly believe that the difference really helped them become a better people/county. The advances they have made in such a short time is testament to their desire to be a better place to live.

These types of lens can be easily manipulative, it is why Americans are so polarized in domestic politics, most are brainwashed by their own politicians. dude, most of the well off eurocentric population dogmatically believes that slaughtering 99% of the human species is a LAW OF NATURE.... they also believe that impoverished people can stretch time and make 24 hours into 250 hours because the cost of living is 10x the minimum wage. so the only way this could not be considered state sponsored mass murder by restricting all basic survival necessities is if they believe that its somehow physically possible to work TEN FULL TIME JOBS PER DAY. otherwise you cant argue that it isnt intentional murder of american citizens because endless profit expansion is not a necessity of human survival like having food and not being literally forced to do labor until your heart gives out or your kidneys collapse etc...

The real China is finally discovered - the most safe country with zero mass shootings in schools, and churches, and many more; the only country with fast train of 350 kmph, the only country that single-handedly built their own space station, the country that produces the most, high quality, inexpensive ev's and cell phones on earth; the most inexpensive health-care and education systems on earth. Keep on trucking, China!!
@MartijnHover
@MartijnHover Күн бұрын
Well, France has had high-speed train for decades, as has Japan. The Soviet Union built its own space station in the 70s. China has had mass murders, although not with automatic weapons. It produces cheap stuff because its workers are paid less than those in other industrialized countries. Health care and education are free or at least affordable for everyone in many countries.

I've known how China REALLY is for about 25 years now. Several of my close friends (family, really) moved to China after just 2-4 years in college here in the States. They told me all about China & how it really is over there & that everything the American gov't & media had told us about China were actually lies. When I asked them if they would ever consider moving back to the States, they laughed. HARD. I don't blame them. If I could get out of this third-world country masquerading as a first world nation that we call the U.S., I would. In half a heartbeat. & I would NEVER look back.

From RedNote what you discover is Americans are in the Truman Show. Exactly like the movie, but entire population is controlled by CIA/NSA/PENTAGON/major media/Social media/and many private and public government entities. China is living in future 2050. China has advanced cars that rotate, go in water, and dance... and luxury , unbeatable... all for low cost 15K - 20K... same kind would cost 50K-100K in USA. It is cell phones -- foldable phones and Huawei technology --- that is unparalleled. These are banned in USA. They have social media apps, which US and west cannot replicate. They have skycrappers and buildings that will make USA look like it is living in 1600. They have robots and deliver food and items, which USA does not have. They have flying cars, which the USA does not have. The list goes on and on... But most important... people are happy, not in debt, have covered health care, and love their purpose in life and love their country. And they want to unite with world in a positive way. They want to be fair to everyone and want to include everyone. They have no homeless people, no drug problem and no school shootings or otherwise shootings. They have little or no robbery now. Good News, China is giving 10 day visit without Visa. So pack your bags and go and visit the wonderful place.

Hahaha. Heathcare is absolutely not covered in China! People are generally happy that their lives are better than they used to be, but that doesn't mean they are fundamnetally happy. Those on Rednote are the privileged class. They will have health plans through work or elsewhere. They'll live in the best cities. There is absolutely a lot of homelessness and ther eis some drug abuse problems in China, particularily with synthetics.There are strict laws and harsh penalties for users. You are absolutely right about the lack of school shootings, but you need to be concerned about state murders and disappearances for students that don't tow the party line. Robbery is not common in China where there is Technological Surveillance - you trade your freedom for safety, I suppose. A greater concern is the corrupt government and officials robbing the people of the wealth of the country. Even Alibaba isn't immune from this wealth transfer!

My parents are still living in Toronto while I headed over to to Hong Kong after my graduation in 1994. My parents finally realized why I don't want to go back to Toronto after they came over to visit me in HK. I took them across the border to visit Shenzhen and they were totally amazed at how modern the buildings and shopping malls were with clean washrooms. Food and everyday expenses are a lot cheaper with better service there. There's also no consumption tax / GST / PST nor does China or Asia for this matter have a mandatory tipping culture like the west which starts at 12% and upwards. It is exactly the same here in Europe. Here, China is literally demonized, as the empire of evil. But in Belgium, the politicians have been negotiating for 7 months to form a federal government! What I simply observe is that it is incredibly difficult to get along with each other in a country that you can barely see on the world map. If the politicians here can no longer get along with each other, how do you expect them to be able or willing to get along with the others, who are half a globe away from us.
