How do people know when and how to start looking at testing for other things than just asthma when severe asthma doesn't look like its the only thing going on? There are things like CF, listed in this video, and Alpha 1 and other things, and sometimes its unexplainable why these kinds of cases someone has lung infections almost all the time. This doesn't seem like only asthma when people always have lung infections and constant phlegm cough. But some cases labeled as severe people never seem to even get anywhere but getting out of bed is hard from 1 day to the next and coughing phlegm for hours after eating... it seems like there's a lot of things that could be going on but someone doesn't actually say how you get tested or how to know if its these other conditions? And some people were born before testing for these other conditions became standard at hospital birthing wards.

@OsvaldoJohnson-w7f Cystic fibrosis (CF) is a genetic disorder that affects the lungs and digestive system, leading to the production of thick and sticky mucus that can cause blockages and respiratory issues. Treatment typically involves managing symptoms through medications, physical therapy, and nutritional support. If the names you mentioned relate to individuals affected by CF, their experiences can help raise awareness and understanding of this condition. Support from healthcare teams and communities is crucial for managing CF effectively.
