Just shot a Shadow 2, very nice firearm, almost no recoil on the 9mm and the trigger is the best I've shot.

I strongly disagree that this gun is for competition only. It is a perfect gun for any type of target shooting, since long sight radius and fantastic trigger help a lot for accuracy improvement. If you can afford one :)
@MrZRNEC
@MrZRNEC 7 жыл бұрын
I must clarify what i meant by that, for that amount of money you better use it for competition so you can have an edge otherwise get the standard TS version and save 500-600 bucks which you can use for ammo or another gun. =)

This gun is designed, manufactured, tuned for speed shooting competitions (IPSC Standard Division or USPSA Limited). It gives expensive pistols like 2011s a run for their money (2k-6k usd). This is a very big pistol (max LxHxW allowed per IPSC rules). It is longer than a typical full length 1911, heaviest handgun in its class (front heavy). You can get tired easily doing target shooting with it. This gun shines in competition. It is not a weapon for conceal carry, self & home defense (too big, heavy, safety & trigger too light for those purposes). For target shooting this is actually not the best at this price range, it's just too long and front heavy. Standard TS is just as accurate as TSO, or a Shadow 2 is safer a bit smaller because it is a DA/SA pistol. (also an out of the box race gun for the production division)

The light trigger can be a problem on some competitions which ask for a 1kg (or more than 2 lbs) trigger pull. Here in Austria we do have "large caliber full- and half programs", with either 3, or 6, slow fire strings of 5 shots each (150 seconds time), and 3, or 6, rapid fire strings of 5 shots each (20 seconds). Distance is 25 meters. Some people, myself included, have TSOs or TS model which have a second spring installed around the pin connecting the trigger and the trigger bar, thus raising the initial 7oo-8oo g trigger pull to 12oo-13oo g. Usually enough to pass the trigger test gauge at the start of the competitions.

These do have ridiculously light triggers. I bought a used frankenbuilt 1911 a few years back that had the lightest trigger I ever encountered though. Gunsmith gauged it at 1lb 1oz

Lovely firearm. Always love a Cz. Plastic trigger though? Why would they give a gun like this a plastic trigger? 1.14lbs!!!! Holy cow that is light light light.
@fredgoodrum

With a 1lb pull, plastic is more than enough.

Not plastic it is polymer and it is great. It is not going to bend or break. I have 3 tactical sports including an Orange and there are no problems with the trigger and what an amazing trigger it is.
@Datsyukiandeke
@Datsyukiandeke 7 жыл бұрын
I cannot say for sure because I dont know but they may have given it a plastic trigger for safety reasons. With a 1lb pull, the weight of a steel trigger might be dangerous if dropped. Just an idea.
@archerpride
@archerpride 6 жыл бұрын
I have one. Was told by the gunsmith at the store where I got it from that the trigger is polymer because it needs to be as light as possible to prevent an accidental inertia fire when the gun is dropped. My trigger pull is less than 1.5 lbs, no slack (already at the wall), and needs less than 3mm of movement to break. With, say, a steel trigger, the mass of the trigger alone would store enough inertia to discharge the gun in the event the gun is mishandled.

can you please tell me the differences between the CZ 75 TS orange and the new TS 2 orange? Thanx a lot from Germany!

Don’t understand why they didn’t put a fully click adj rear sight on the TSO. But then they also didn’t do it either on the Shadow 2. So I ended up with the shadow target 2 which has the sights I wanted and it just a superb shooter.

Great video and I love this gun. What are your thoughts on why the first shots bunched left? Was it ammo related, the gun sights, or you just getting use to the new gun? Now that you have put a lot more rounds through it does it no longer bunch to the left? Thanks!
@MrZRNEC
@MrZRNEC 7 жыл бұрын
+dabopper1 Well that was completely my fault i was not used to the trigger. It wasn't ammo either (i use S&B 124gr FMJ )it was me and no it doesn't anymore bunch to the left i make a quite a nice tight group at 25m.

Hi sorry for the late reply, i have a ghost "the one" ipsc holster and a cheap ebay fabric holster other than that its pretty hard finding a holster for this one because of thumb rest unless you remove it that there's plenty to choose from.

I looks like you the original Tactical sports (based on your having the case at the beginning) as well as the Orange. Can you please tell me if the factory CZ Orange grips/stocks are any thinner than the wooden stocks on the original? I have one of the originals, in 9mm, and am considering getting the Orange. Thanks.
@MrZRNEC
@MrZRNEC 5 жыл бұрын
Hi i don't have the original tactical sport but if you want i can measure the orange grips and give you the measurements. Otherwise pretty sure my gun club still has one and i can compare them if you want.
@craigp187
@craigp187 5 жыл бұрын
The measurements would be great, thanks! I am deciding on getting the Orange...was watching three of them from one seller, all standard (20 rd) capacity, on GB. Wanted $1549 and no CC fees. A great price, but I didn’t know if it was a substantial upgrade to my original TS since I put on the factory adj. sight set and upgraded trigger option. I’m thinking that I have a similar gun to the Orange. I do find the whole gun a bit “thick”. Wondering if the aluminum grips (of any color) would help much, if any. Thanks again, C
@MrZRNEC
@MrZRNEC 5 жыл бұрын
@@craigp187 Hard to tell but if you already have a modified ts i wouldn't spend the money on it. Rather buy something else. It is a bit thick especially with the thumb rest quite hard to find a good holster. I'll give you a picture with measurements tomorrow. I don't have a standard ts but if i had i wouldn't buy the orange version. Do i regret buying it absolutely not would buy again if i didn't have it. I love it my most accurate gun that i have, well until i buy that p210 skeleton than it might have so competition..

@MrZRNEC
@MrZRNEC 7 жыл бұрын
Yes i did, well i have a shadow gen 1 and gen 2 is better in every way except the price obviously. Depending on what do you want to do with it, if it is for competitions like ipsc; Cz TS Orange is SA and made for limited while the shadow 2 is DA/SA and for Production, etc.....In general they are completely different guns, different beasts.

Well then you'll definitely need more than one gun, my best suggestion to you is go to a gun store or a gun range and try them and you'll know immediately what fits your hand and how you like it. Or go to a competition and just watch what they use and maybe ask them for a shot or two. No matter what you choose Shadow or TS you won't be disappointed.

That's not very polite, now, is it :-)? You don't know the guy, and perhaps, as me, he is no expert shot like you or many others. Perhaps, like me, he also suffers from essential tremor. With that disease, you can love and enjoy shooting, but you will hardly ever hit 50 out of 50. That said, happy shooting and stay safe :-)!
