Hey guys, a bit sloppy on my part in this one. I'm currently reading a book about Charles the Mad (King Charles VI of France) and I've evidently got him on the brain. I'm currently reading into the Hundred Years War as I alluded to in the video. The Monarch featured at the start of the video is King Charles IV/Fourth. My apologies, friends! I'm tempted to delete this video and start over. Let me know your thoughts.

Aww... I remember these! You see, I'm Slovak, but my Grandma was born and raised in Czech, before she moved to Slovakia. BUT... Our Great Grandmother was Czech too. And memories come to me after this video, because, everytime we were leaving, she gave us 500 or 1000 Korunas. (She wasn't rich, but Czech Koruna is very low world currency)

I like the Czech Koruna Banknotes and my favourite czech banknote is the 500 Korun because they put the Versace logo on the back

I really like CZK banknotes. I was privileged enough to work on a Bureau de Change and as Prague is such a popular destination, I used to sell CZK regularly.

The coat of arms on the banknote is still official coat of arms of Czech Republic, its called "big" and there is displayed Bohemian lion twice (because of Bohemia is historical kingdom) and one Moravi and and one Silesian Eagle, the "small" official coat of arms is just the Bohemian lion. :)

Czech here. I'm not very versed in our history, but I would hazard a guess, that the tree is a linden tree, our national tree.

Sloppy on my part. Thanks for pointing out the error. I said it multiple times too without realising!

My favourite is the 1000, but they are all nice in general. Sometime in the future maybe we can see Humgarian forint or Polish zolty, maybe belarus ruble?

Interesting fact about Palacký is, that he was a big patriot, but he saw the future of Bohemia in some form of federation with Austria. ;)

Fun fact...one of the daughters of Charles IV. was a queen of England . It was Anne of Bohemia wife of Richard II. ;)

I would love to. Given the situation at the moment, it isn't that easy to get hold of new notes but I'll do my best.
