How was the boat ? I understand it is a very old boat , any engine oil smell and was it noisy? I am sure local DM were good.

The boat is on smaller side and that brings some limitations. So yes, guests sleep below deck and engine noise is unavoidable. Don’t recall any awful diesel smell but again due to its size exhaust in proximity can’t be avoided. It is a basic boat, slower electric compressors, but in 2019 it was fine for our trip. I actually looked to book again in January 2024 but it didn’t have enough guests to sail.The crew gave 100% , and did their best with what they got. I sailed on Komodo Sea Dragon recently, very different set up, large boat but had to use smaller tender carrying all gear for diving. Different price too. Check my recent video if you like.

@@czele123 Nice Video 👌🏻 I think about to book it this November. Did they serve the Meals outside? And do they have a nice outdoor Area for Chill between the dives? Thanks for your answer 🙏🏻
@czele1234 ай бұрын
@@dennishein4769 Thanks. For some reason this boat isn’t sailing often, looks like they don’t have enough customers signing up. Meals were served inside, if I recall correctly back deck is exclusively for dive equipment. The boat is on smaller side, just 6 guests, some areas to chill on upper deck but the sun is pretty powerful so I mostly chilled in the cabin or saloon. I visited Komodo Islands again in 2024 and sailed with Komodo Sea Dragon, much bigger boat, different prices as well.

Amazing video... the macro footage are incredible! Komodo was the best place I dived by far!

I am glad you enjoyed the video. Agree, Komodo is indeed incredible spot to dive. I was disappointed seeing destruction left by reef bombing through the area but great to see that nature is moving back and rebuilding it. I will visit Komodo again!

@@czele123 Me too! Komodo worths to go back... My favorite dive site was Castle Rock... so much going on... schools of fish doing a baitball... jackfish and giant trevally feeding... sharks... I was totally amazed in middle of that... a experience I will never forget!

Yes, I heard of Castle Rock, more north of Komodo Island, correct? Our liveaboard was on southern route and my favourite dives were Cannibal rock and Yellow wall, amazing! The action underwater in one reason why I started making videos ,so one can view these precious moments again! Did you dive from liveaboard?
@underwatermarvels32064 жыл бұрын
@@czele123 Yes! Castle Rock is in north of national park. Is not possible dive both at same time of year. When is possible to dive in north, south is to rough and vice-versa! That´s also one of the reasons I want go back to dive in south. Had been there for two weeks. Did daily dives and liveaboard dived all days. Castle Rock and Cristal Rock another awesome dive site 3 times.This was in Castle rock the quality of video is not good and shaky...was made with gopro4 at almost 30 meters without lights but you can have an idea what it looks like! kzbin.info/www/bejne/a5TKpYNnnt18naM&ab_channel=UnderwaterMarvels

Another dive site I loved was Cauldron also know as shotgun. The current there is really strong and you fly like a superman. Basically you start dive into a channel between to islands... slowly the current will increase and increase taking you to the cauldron a round area at 25 meters. There has a wall that goes from 25 meters till 8 meters the current will push at the top very fast then you hook yourself and stay there for 3 minutes feeling all current there will see sharks, mantas, fishs, turtles... then release the hook and fly in the strong current till the exit point safe area protect from the current along the way is so much to see and in protect area as well. This video explain it very well! This dive site is awesome... pure adrenaline! Did it 3 times, 2 on the right direction and one in opposite direction. Once you already dived in south next time make sure that you go on the right time to dive in north ;) kzbin.info/www/bejne/fZzah6WFaayfb7c&ab_channel=ScubaTravelViews

Karin Rodriguez Komodo was amazing ,on par with Raja if not better. Not sure about weather in April but currents in Komodo were quite wild at times.We dove during full moon, great experience.Enjoy!
