He never changed. Back when they kicked ladder guy out you saw signs that despite his lack of taking orders seriously that he respects Doraleous Hell, he was willing to part with his broom co. and co-king all to be reunited with Doraleous. Also, people tend to forget that some characters NEED to play that troublesome role in order to create interesting dialog/story. Each person in Doraleous squad plays a vital role to the humor they weave...Drak is the only lacking one, since he used to be the one everyone picked-fun at...but that has fallen wayside and now his role is more of an echo of reason with Doraleous...kinda disappointing.

Neebs is the best character in the series He is a clever strategist, he knew he couldn't take on Titanus heads on. He is most probably the best archer in Nudonia. He's not a selfish person(refer to the episode where he saved the lady) His most redeeming quality is the fact that he doesn't take shit from anybody who speaks crap about Doraleous. He's the only one who questions Doraleous' plans. He managed to become a king and rich af with his own prosperous wonder broom proving he doesn't need them for everything but just his want to be with the team. He has saved Doraleous' ass many times.
