Fun fact: this music was originally intended for R2, a scrapped zone between Palmtree Panic (R1) and Collision Chaos (R3). Judging by the peaceful feeling and the birds, it was most likely for the good future of the zone. Edit: actually I think I read somewhere it was meant for the present instead.

Far from it. The birds and the emphasis of nature from the beginning sounds like the above ground, and the general happy nature of this track is not dubious. This would not fit Dubious Depths well, and I'm glad this was repurposed as the D.A. Garden theme.

While many disagree that this Dosent sound right for a present theme for dubious depths, it actually works well. On the surface it’s happy and positive, but as you dig deeper it gets more ominous. Not as happy as Palmtree panic, yet not as mechanical as Collision chaos

Past music can't be changed easy since they were hard coded into the game. The US composers didn't bother making them if you can't even change them.

@@HyperSonic777 the Past themes werent "Hardcoded" It was just that the Mega CD chip was hard to compose for,and they didnt have the time to compose Past tracks for the chip either. So It was more of a Sound Chip programming issue and Time limitations than real "Hardcoded" tracks ingame.

Concerning R2, I've seen people say this would've been the present theme, but with the upbeat tones and constant sounds of birds, I think this was meant to be for the good future. Here's my reasoning for it: A) Quartz Quadrant's good future has the sound of birds in it as well B) All these birds in the song would imply that the zone is completely devoid of Eggman's machinery, which would not be the case for the present That's my theory anywho

Ok I have a theory that I haven’t heard to many people discuss Everyone knows how this song was meant for the canceled zone “Dubious Depths,” & how it got reused as the D.A. Garden, but something I don’t hear to often is what time period this song takes place in. I personally think that this was originally supposed to be the Good Future version of the song. The birds chirping in the background gives a sense of peace, plus it makes sense since in the good future version of all the zones there’s animals in the background, plus just with how overall extremely chill the song is, it matches alongside the other good future tracks, as for present songs, there aren’t really any others besides Tidal Tempest. Idk maybe I’m completely wrong & it’s already been debunked, kr maybe everyone already knew this, but idk those are just my thoughts
