Straight out of Richmond, VA. The city was still rough as hell from the heroin and crack epidemic when he came out. Richmond was at an all time low in 94 and crime was so bad that the post office was sanctioned not to deliver mail to certain neighborhoods lol. His album debuting the following year was a fresh sound for the area especially in the clubs. Being from the city folks finally had something to take pride in. Can even tell the year by his outfit, Colorado won the Cotton Bowl that year and the Jordan 11s had just released. 1995 Nostalgia
