I love the moment where he looks around at the detectives, the prosecutor, and his own attorney and realizes that this is all secondary horror for them. But for D'Angelo, this was the only life he'd ever known. It wasn't horror, it was just part of growing up a Barksdale. And he finally gets to the point where he can't take it anymore and just desperately wants to start over somewhere, anywhere, where he can breathe again. Looking at all of them he realizes that they don't understand that by locking up him, they're actually setting him free. D'Angelo was one of my favorite characters. I loved his storyline and the tragedy.

@babyshaq052359 ай бұрын
@@Yvanehtnioj2000 D’ Angelo did not know Wallace told. All of the suspicions came from how Wallace left the pit to stay at his Grandma house after witnessing Brandon’s body after his torture. He was missing work and using drugs. D was trying to protect Wallace because he grew fond of him and know his actions were suspicious but figured he was a just good kid caught in the game. He kind of saw himself in Wallace a bit. But with the organization trying to tie up all loose ends that could bring down their organization because the police were cracking down on them, he was in trouble. Once Stringer heard Wallace was a liability, vanished and came back that raised red flags. Wallace did snitch but they didn’t know for sure. Stringer ordered it to play it safe and used snitch in order to justify it. I agree with mostly everything else. But Avon did mess up… he didn’t trust many people and without Weebay, Bird and Stinkum, he asked D to make a drug run he normally never asked him to do. The police wiretapped their club and that’s how D got arrested. D didn’t understand Avon did it because he saw him as family and trusted him and nobody else.

@pharaohsmagician83292 ай бұрын
Idk, seeing how people Ike Dookie ended up and after they tried to show us how the education system deliberately tries to make kids fail at learning just so they can appear to be succeeding at getting passing marks, how can we possibly say the gangster life isn't worth it? Look at how Dookie ended up vs Michael. People turn to crime because in the short term it is much more profitable and for those who don't get any support and refuse to turn to crime there's a very high chance that they can become homeless drug addicts and failures. We just see failure happen so much in society we deem it as being homeless in reality that's society failing. I don't think D would have been able to convince anyone until the pathway to success was actually made possible. And that's especially in the ghetto where it's a hundred times harder for the kids there. Only people who managed to get out were the lucky ones who got adopted by more successful families or people like Poot who did enough crime to stay floating until he could get a real job.
