Shitennoji is a Zen temple built in the 6th century and surrounded by tranquil gardens. Tennoji Park is home to a popular zoo and the Osaka City Museum of Art, which exhibits art from across Asia. Shinsekai is a neon-lit, retro-style entertainment district with popular late-night pubs and snack bars. There are modern shopping malls surrounding Tennoji Station.
