I think to embarass him so he knows not to mess up next time. That's what I might think why he did it.

He didn’t embarrass him, he was tough on him and made him do everything the right way, he wasn’t the typical coaches kid. Coach Rojas was the best coach I ever had, and he is most likely the key reason Josh stuck with it and is in the MLB. I know this because i played with Josh for years, on the Tigers and Young guns
