weee! they sort of seem like the shay design would have been more suitable, with its geared down engine so it can creep... very important on a crane... ironic. thinking of the lil crane tank (unloved and unrunning) at the old carriageworks in eveleigh, sydney. according to the news reports, theres currently a fire one or two streets over...

Poor little crane loco being dragged along by the Saddle Tank engines, listen to the way larger engines puff quite slowly and the crane engine with it's smaller drivers is puffing madly like a toddler chasing after mum. 4ft drivers on the tanks and 2ft 6 on the crane?
