There's lots of lore channels, but the homebrew scenarios will help separate you from the pack. You got my sub, and good luck further on.

Excellent observation... i am just lucky that homebrew and world building are what i most enjoy about TTRPGs. Thank you for the comment and listening!

I love to make white dragons amphibious, and utilize their swimming speed. Making them extremely versatile, able to thrive not only on mountain peaks, but in icebergs too. The only ways to enter are through two or three LONG underwater tunnels. It also makes white dragons into terrifying stealthy ambushes. Diving into a lake, and freezing the surface over rapidly, easily concealing its hiding site. Their breath weapon can be used, not to damage the party, but to trap and separate them, splitting the party between those underwater, and those on the surface. Also, the idea of white dragons being a natural predator of orcas, an animal with zero predators in the real world, definitely adds to the terror.

I never thought of the white dragon at that way... i love it!

yes!!! I've been building up tensions between my PCs and a white dragon family since they were level 3, when they were set upon by two white wyrmlings, recently turned out of their mother's lair, and a couple of levels later, they slew the young adult father of the brood. He smashed up from a frozen river, froze the horses and henchmen in a cone of ice, separated the ranger from the cleric trapped beneath the ice .... His hide was good for some armor. They've been away from their home village for some time, though, and winter has come, and the very old mother of all these guys (including, her recent breeding partner) won't take kindly to the PCs flouncing around HER territory in HER children's hides.

I like giving creatures like dragons unique abilities (that make sense), and will change the size as i see fit. These beings should have personalities and magic catered to their identity. These are long lived and should be as unique as the players. They would even have spells or magic they would've discovered. If you can survive in D&D world, you would've learned a lot of tricks and tactics. And in many cases dragons can have genius intelligence or at least cunning. They would anticipate what the players will do (because of the amount of treasure seekers they would've encountered).

I’ve always wanted to run a desert themed encounter with an ancient blue dragon. Just the idea of the dragon raining lightning bolts from hundreds of feet in the air and then being able to land and burrow in the sands sounds so cool. Also the lightning hitting the sand and making glass pillars could be awesome. I’m really excited to see what you do with blue dragons

Really good content and presentation in your videos. Keep it up! The idea of The Shadow of the Northern Wastes and the floating giant iceberg lair is fantastic! I may use something like that after my COS campaign wraps up.

Of all the Chromatics, I really love White Dragons. Something about the bitter cold makes them all the more terrifying. Maybe it's partly that Lovecraft and his contemporaries focused on Antartica a lot that just gives me the creeps when it comes to deeply frozen lands. Oh, it may also have to do with the Pern Books, though that white Dragon was quite a bit different.

I love these dragon videos. Remember the first time I faced a white dragon. I almost failed my deaf saving throw. And I would have gotten frozen solid. But what could we got it in fail? And luckily I was actually able to land a critical 20 and well. I stabbed the dragon right through the chest with my great sword. Then it di'd then. I got to level 20 as I've been playing dungeon. Dragons for character was a black dragon born chaotic neutral.

I'm new to the channel but enjoying the vids. The descriptive narrative before you go into the lore is a nice touch, and the homebrew lair actions/encounter at the end is pretty sweet and could be useful for a lot of DMs myself included.

If you follow the lore on dragon breeding i covered in one of the videos, black I believe - it is more than normal. Don't be so rigid as to think a dragon of a particular color only comes in one flavor... But thank you for the comment.

Our DM let me homebrew a druid who could wild shape into a white dragon with all of its abilities THEN let me have a feat that doubles my ice breath damage. plus i am allowed to spellcast in that form and i keep sending tsunami and earthquake firestorm and reverse gravity XD that isnt even the crazy parts of the campaign
