I do love the fact that Hollywood is trying to make a big deal about women in action films these days. HK had been doing it for donkey's years. Although the role she played was male, Fung Bo Bo (Fung Hak On's Sister) was a leading star back in the 1960's in the original Fong Sai Yuk films. She was a huge star domestically, so this is nothing new and HK (at it's best) did it a whole lot better. Sadly HK cinema is dead these days, though there are some bright lights on the horizon in America within the Indie film making scene. Those Martial Club boys are great and there's that new short, Twisting Tiger, I can't recollect the lead actor's name but his skills are legit, HK of the 80's worthy.

Coming back to this video again. I think Yukari had the most character of Hong Kong martial arts actresses with her witty looks and personality. And she was also a real deal being a Karate champion and to add to that she has naturally beautiful VERY feminine proportions that somehow were not damaged but instead ehanced with her training. She was an absolute pinnacle of strenght, agility and feminine beauty combined. Like a definitive example of what a human being can be. An absolute peak. I adore her and always will.

Yeah, the jump to on back straight to kickup was jawdropping, and I've not seen anyone else doing that so far. It's also a rare example Kung Fu movie that features some ground level fighting.
